Goku’s Effects Parts is packaged in a window box with artwork that includes an image of the Goku figure that this set is a companion piece for, and images showing him using these parts on the front, side and back.

Goku’s head sculpt is given a new hair style, along with a new face plate, and you can swap out the face plates that come with this particular figure, as the head sculpt is compatible with them. The facial expression is a grin, and works well with the effects when posing.

The energy blasts for the wrists require its own acrylic part that you place on the wrist, and the peg connects to the energy blast so that it looks as though he’s firing it from his hand, which pays homage to the animated series. You’re also going to want to use one of his open grip/energy firing hands for this part.

He comes with two different effect parts for the wrists, which connect to the small acrylic rings with the ball joints that these snap onto.

He also comes with two kinds of kick effect parts, but you can also use the wrist effect parts for the legs as well. The kick effect parts are clearly just for the legs given their size, and in most of the cases I found that the use of an acrylic stand was necessary to get him to stand. The left effects work the same as the wrist, with the acrylic ring that has ball joints.

The rings have 8 pieces, with half of them including two ball joints, and the other only four. This allows you to place two effects on one ring, although the other one is in the back.

The instructions specify that running may occur when placing the acrylic rings onto the legs, and everything here is fragile especially the effect parts and rings. So be extra careful when assembling and disassembling. You may also want to use a hair dryer to assemble and disassemble to loosen up the ball joints.

Overall, Goku’s Effects Parts is a great set that you should add to your display. These parts should also be compatible with other figures, like Vegeta and Gohan, so there’s a lot of possibilities here for customizing and display. The set is priced at $37.99 and you can find it and other offerings at the links below.
