Skeletek is based on his appearance Masters of the Universe Revolution series, and was transformed into this form using technology and magic by the Cult of Motherboard. This figure features a great likeness to the source material, and looks just like how he does in the series. The torso and left arm are the only organic parts left, with his light purple skin tone on the upper chest, left shoulder and upper arm. The rest of the body is fused with technology and magic, with the lower abdomen neck, and right shoulder a dark grey to look like metal, with a round turquoise circle on the front of the abdomen. The only piece is clothing is made of a soft plastic around his hips, and despite the belt buckle looking like you can split it and remove this piece, it’s not meant to be removed. The outfit is given a sculpted texture, and is dark purple with a red trim, and a dark grey belt buckle with sculpted details around the belt.
The legs are cyborg, and painted and sculpted to look like metal, with a metallic silver with a blue wash, and metallic purple feet.
The right arm is now fused with his havoc staff, and is a bendy arm with black plastic with turquoise lines, the face of the havoc staff includes a hinged jaw, metallic purple horns, light purple skull, black and turquoise deco, and the back includes red fins and metallic purple.
Skeletek includes a left closed fisted hand, and King Keldor’s crown.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball jointed right arm, bendy right arm, hinged jaw on the havoc staff, ball hinged left shoulder, swivel bicep, double-hinged elbow, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel knees, double hinged knees that can bend front and back, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Comparing him with what’s come before, as you are aware that Skeletek is a combination of technology and magic, and his appearance is unique compared to previous appearances and designs. This includes a look with Revelation Skeletor, Skelegod, Barbarian Skeletor, Horde Skeletor, New Adventures Skeletor, and Masters of the Universe Classics Filmation Skeletor, and Skeletor with a cape. Skeletek stands out as a separate design and something you haven’t seen before.
Overall, Skeletek is an excellent figure that fans are sure to love. This is a great likeness to the animated series, and the attention to detail and sculpting work on this is phenomenal. You can find him and additional Masterverse figures now at BigBadToyStore.
