Hasbro’s newly released The Void (Build-A-Figure) wave has some memorable figures this year, including Power Princess, Namorita and Crystar, along with some new offerings of The Vision, Namor, Namorita, Black Panther, New Warriors Justice and The Void. Savage Namor, the Sub-Mariner is based on his appearance in Marvel Comics back in the early 1990’s. In the comic, Namor had been missing and returned with this longer hair and aggression, and he was named the Savage Namor. Namorita is a member of the New Warriors and is the half cousin of Atlantis’ Prince Namor.

Namorita and Namor are packaged in window box blister card, with the Marvel Legends logo, and themed artwork on the package. Images of the character inspired from his comic appearance are on both sides, and the back. Also on the back is another image, a description and a look at the full wave and The Void. The return of the plastic tray is back so you will once again be able to see exactly what’s inside the package. Environmental friendly packaging is gone, so if you can, recycle this plastic!
Namorita makes her Marvel Legends debut and comes in a light blue skin tone, a red and white outfit, red gloves, and wings on her ankles. She also has white tattoos on her arms and legs. Her head sculpt includes white tattoos and light grey hair, along with some nice facial details, including dark blue lips, black eye lashes, and dark blue eyes.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, swivel-thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Included is the chest part for The Void, and two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted and swimming).
Savage Namor is based on his appearance in the early 1990’s, and has some shared tooling with a previous Namor figure. This includes a shared chest, upper arms, legs, and feet. Most of this figure is actually reuse, so it’s impressive how they managed to hide some of it with the black pants (that’s painted but uses the same legs), and he has a new head sculpt, guantlets, shin guards, and trunks. His head sculpt includes long black hair, white eyes with a black wash around them, a gotee and a mustache.
The trident is also reuse, and painted in a different shade of gold. The trunks keep the same metallic green and gold color but are new. The gauntlets and shin guards include spikes on the sides that are soft plastic, and there’s a lot of great sculpted detail on these as well.
Included with Namor are the arms and hands for The Void, the Trident, and three sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted, open grip, and swimming).
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball jointed hips, swivel-thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, both Namor and Namorita are great figures that fans will surely want to add to their collections. The detail and likeness looks great and this is one wave to complete to build that gorgeous The Void Build-A-Figure. You can grab this wave now for $24.99 (each figure) by using our links to Entertainment Earth. 10% off any in-stock item as well.
