Sandman is packaged on a standard Marvel Select blister card with a portrait of him on the side, an image and a bio of the character on the back.

Sandman is based on his comic book likeness and is sculpted and painted with his green and dark grey striped shirt, dark grey pants, brown boots and a brown belt with a silver belt buckle. The stripes on the shirt are individually sculpted with tiny grooves, and there is also some paint bleeding over into the opposite color. The pants have some sculpted wrinkles and there is even a wash over the dark grey. The boots have some nicely done sculpted details such as shoe laces in black, with silver loops for them to fit through.

His head sculpt features a great likeness and includes nicely done facial details, including a wash over his skin, brown hair that is also given a wash, brown eye brows and eyes.

What makes this figure so great is all of the arm attachments that he comes with, including a mace, hammer, two left hand arms with sand sculpted and painted into a fist and a claw. The hammer and mace attachments are two of the most detailed accessories in this set, with the mace including spikes, and the and larger spikes on the hammer. The spikes on the mace are made of a soft plastic so if you drop it, it likely won’t break as compared to a hard plastic. These arm attachments, as well as the two additional ones that are fisted and clawed attachment at the forearm, so his existing forearms and hands need to be removed.

Sandman is also given an interchangeable sand effect piece that replaces his legs and hips, and the legs easily come off to insert this new base. The base has a twist to it like a sandstorm as seen in the comics, and the paint applications and sculpted textures really brings out all of this great detail.

Aside from these, he also comes with a flat base with two pegs for his feet, which is required to help him stand depending on the pose you choose to place him in with his arm attachments. This base also has some great sculpted details and textures. Also included are 6 interchangeable hand sculpts (4x right and 2x left) for his wrists. This is an incredible amount of accessories with four of them being large and is most cases you normally don’t get this many accessories like these with a Marvel Select figure.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel forearms, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, double-hinged knees and ball jointed ankles.

Overall, Sandman is an excellent figure with some great accessories and attachments that Marvel fans are sure to love. All of these accessories gives you plenty of options to display your Sandman figure and to re-create many poses as seen in the comics. You would probably want to purchase multiples of him to display in several different ways on your toy shelves.
