NECA Toys has updated the sculpts for Hicks and Hudson is this special Colonial Marines 30th Anniversary 2 pack release that is available now. These changes to the sculpt include paint decos, used the skin tone tinted plastic and Hudson’s helmet is now more screen accurate. For those of you that already purchased Aliens Series 9, which includes the Albino Alien, Private Ricco Frost, and Private Jenette Vasquez, this 2 pack is meant as a companion addition to that wave as it bolsters the marines ranks.

Corporal Dwayne Hicks and Private William Hudson features the likeness of actors Michael Biehn and the late Bill Paxton as seen in the 1986 film Aliens. Both figures are sculpted in their marines uniform and stands at roughly 7″ tall and is with body armor, with some minor differences on the chest harness over the armor, which is also designed a little different. For the most part, they reuse the same sculpt, with the exception of the harness on the front part of their chest, deco on the chest armor and battle damage on their chest armor. Hudson’s straps have a knife sheath on the left and a pouch with ammo on the right, red dob of paint in the shape of a heart on his chest with a gold piece above it, and his name painted in black, and the word “lifer” painted in white on the lower part of his back armor. There is a bullet hole on the upper shoulder guard, as well as a different style painted on the front part of his armor compared to Hicks.
Hicks has an additional pouch in front compared to Hudson, a skull with a knife through it on the front part of his armor, his name written in black, and the word “Louise” below it. On his back there is additional text written on his back that readers “contents under pressure” and smaller text below that, which is harder to read. There are also battle damage on the upper part of his back shoulder pads, including a bullet hole and battle damage. On the right side there is what appears to be eye balls painted on. Both of their shirts and pants are painted in camouflage with some nicely detailed deco and tooling.
They each use the same left shoulder lamp that plugs into their backs. as well as the same legs and almost the same arm sculpts with the exception of Hudson’s left arm is bandaged half way on the top. Their accessories include pulse rifles, motion detectors, shoulder lamps, welding torches, and Hicks includes a shotgun and shotgun carrier. Both figures also come with a un-helmeted head sculpt (the helmets on the heads are not removable).
Their articulation includes a ball-jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball-socket torso, swivel waist, ball-jointed hips, double-hinged knees, swivel and rocker ankles, toe hinges.
