The artwork on the cover and the inside flap was done by Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer, Joe Quesada. Behind the inside flap are two posters of the covers. The back of the packaging is quite interesting, as it features brail for those that cannot see. The window inside the packaging reveals the figure inside, along with all of the accessories.

Hasbro’s 12″ Marvel Legends line has had its rocky start at the beginning, with the first wave of figures seeing a hefty discount in stores of up to 50-80% off. Other series haven’t been discounted at these rates, and with characters like Deadpool, Symbiot Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Thor and others, as the line is seeing a strong rise in demand as more characters are being introduced. Daredevil is a solid choice for an exclusive, as the character is one of the most recognizable characters in the Marvel Universe in the eyes of the public, but also has seen a lot of popularity since his Netflix television series aired. At the moment, Hasbro’s Marvel brand team are making the right call right now to keep the 12″ line focused on comic book likeness, and not touching any other media such as film or television to this scale.

Daredevil is scaled to 12″ tall, and measures 11 1/2″ tall and is sculpted in his in his iconic red outfit. The sculpt definitely has a high-end looking and feeling to it, as not only are the accessories great, but the paint applications are just that good and much more detailed than the 6″ version of the figure. There is also a lot of great articulation added, which is probably around the same amount as the 6″ figure. Aside from that, what really makes this figure stand is the strong paint applications on the costume, and definitely the belt, straps, boots with a black wash over it, both head sculpts, and the white bandages splattered with blood. Painted over his chest is the DD symbol that looks nicely done. Sculpted to his left hip is a holster connected to the belt with straps that holds the billy clubs.

The sculpt features solid joints, and the articulation is sturdy and for the most part, the sculpt can support most of the poses that you choose (at least while he’s standing on two feet).  The articulation includes a ball jointed neck, ball-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel forearms, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel calves, and swivel rocker ankles.

Included with Daredevil are two head sculpts, with the marked covering the top half of his face, and unmasked. The unmasked head shows a beaten and bruised face with a left black eye, and cuts covered with bandages on his forehead, lip and cheek. The hand sculpts come as two red gloved, and two wrapped grasping hands and fists, making a total of eight hands. The forearms are also removable, and come with a set of wrapped and red painted to match the costume. There is also two billy clubs and a mask that can only be held in his hand, and not meant to put over the unmasked head sculpt.

Overall, the superior deco, sculpting, articulation, and especially the accessories make an excellent exclusive. Fans of the Netflix series will take note of the wrapped bandaged forearms and hands, as well as the beaten unmasked head sculpt and will probably want to the figure just for that. Others will want Daredevil in his solid red costume. Whichever the reason is, there is a lot to love about Daredevil and this is surely a great exclusive figure.

Daredevil is also selling slightly higher than his MSRP, which you can check out the eBay listings, making him one of the more affordable exclusives on the secondary market at the moment.
