NECA Toys Alien: Covenant line-up consists of the 7″ scale Xenomorph, 7″ scale Neomorph, a new Alien creature pack, as well as a scaler. This new line-up is based on the film directed by Ridley Scott. The Neomorph is a new creature that is introduced in the film and stands approximately 9″ tall. The Xenomorph is something that fans will know, as the design is the same as previous Alien films. This Alien stands over 10″ tall. The creature pack/accessory pack includes an opened and closed Alien eggs, newly designed Facehuggers, a tiny Neomorph and a newly designed Chestburster. The 2″ scaler features the likeness of the Neomorph.
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.

The Alien: Covenant accessory pack features a great assortment of characters and scenery based on the film. The assortment are made up of a tiny Neomorph, two facehuggers and a Chestburster. The Neomorph in the set has some limited articulation, which includes a ball jointed neck, swivel shoulders, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, and a swivel tail that also is bendable. The Neomorph is covered with blood spatter throughout the sculpt. The Chestburster cannot stand on his own, and is a tiny Xenomorph that is non-articulated, and only bendable. The facehuggers are newly designed, and one can fit inside the open egg. The Facehugger includes bendable legs and a tail. He can also stand on the back of the tail inside the egg, and can also be placed on the closed egg, but standing him on it can be difficult. In addition, standing the Chestburster by himself is also difficult, and you will need the use of an object (such as an egg) to accomplish this. The sculpting and design work on the figures is what we’ve come to expect from NECA, which is always spectacular. The characters look just like how they appeared in the film and the quality and attention to detail is remarkable.
The eggs feature excellent sculpting and are identical on all sides, with the exception of one being open, and the other being closed. The eggs are not only sculpted extremely well, but the paint applications also features a great likeness as seen in the film, with blue and black deco, red and purple on the inside of the egg.
If you read our review of the Neomorph and Xenomorph figures from the line (found HERE), we talked about how detailed the sculpts were, and NECA Toys offered the same great quality and attention to detail on the smaller figures in the creature pack. The Neomorph scaler is part of the NECA Scalers line, and has a more basic likeness to the Neomorph compared to any other creature in the set. The sculpt is smooth, and the only real detail is done to the mouth, with is sculpted open with the sharp teeth showing. There are some additional details done to the sculpt, including the back with the spikes sticking out, sides of the head, ribs, tail, and various other parts of the body. The sculpt has a more animated look, over a realistic one like the rest of the figures of the line.
Overall, this is a great addition to the Alien line, and if you’re a fan of Alien: Covenant, you will definitely want to add these to your collection.
