During San Diego Comic-Con 2017, DC Collectibles announced a new line of 6.75″ figures called DC Essentials. These figures replace their DC Icons line-up currently available in stores, and will have taller, bulkier sculpts to better match other lines such as Hasbro’s Marvel Legends 6″ figures, or Mattel’s DC Multiverse 6″ line. After this year, DC Icons is done, and beginning in Q2 2018, DC Essentials will take over as their flagship collector line that is based on the DC Rebirth storyline. Which were designed by artist Jason Fabok.
The figures revealed are Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Deathstroke, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Nightwing.
Pre-Orders for these products are available (as well as launching soon on some of these stores) on Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore and Things From Another World and Amazon.com. The price per figure has also been reduced to $22-$25 depending on retailer.
