Hasbro Marvel Legends 12″ Hulk Figure Review & Giveaway

Last year, Hasbro launched a new 12″ line of Marvel Legends figures that is a jumbo size compared to the 6″ line. This new line is also Hasbro’s response to Hot Toys, with a cheaper alternative for fans to collect larger figures. These figures feature the same great quality and deco as the 6″ line, with fewer characters being offered due to the higher price point. As of now, Hasbro has focused on only core Marvel characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, Hulk, Deadpool, Daredevil and others.

This isn’t the first time Hasbro has attempted a 12″ line, as the Marvel Legends Icons figures ran six waves from 2006-2009. This line was passed onto Hasbro and continued after Toybiz, and collectors of that line are now able to continue in this scale, with characters that were previously not offered during the original run.

Thank you to Entertainment Earth for providing Marvel Legends 12″ Hulk figure for review.

Availability: September 2017

The Hulk is given a modern sculpt in the Marvel Legends line, and features a big, bulky muscular physique and an overall fearsome looking body ready to take on any opponent. Hulk stands at almost 14 1/2″ tall and includes an alternate head sculpt and hands. The sculpt is vastly impressive, with all of the articulation that you see in the 6″ line, with some extra points that you normally don’t see.

The head sculpts really make the figure look great, and he includes a more Bruce Banner-ish calm sculpt, and a savage head sculpt that is in a grinning pose. Both head sculpts are unique to each other and share none of the same characteristics such as hair, nose, mouth, eye balls, eye brows, or anything else. Each sculpt is completely different, with a great likeness and superior detail and deco. The eyes are also a different color, wth the Bruce Banner-ish head having a metallic green-blue finish, and the Savage head sculpt painted in green that matches the skin. Both head sculpts also have a wash on it, as well as the hair having different shades of green on the two different sculpts.

The body itself is massive, and the sculpting showcases the massive strength of the character. The sculpt is detailed with veins popping out, and different textures on the skin, pants and hair. The skin is painted in a premium green deco with a black wash, the pants are painted in blue with white on the torn parts of the jeans. Most of the sculpt is left without clothing, except for the torn jeans that covers the hips and upper legs.

The articulation is also impressive, and he is capable of realistic poses. This includes a ball jointed neck, ab crunch, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-jointed knees, swivel calves, rocker ankles and hinged toes.

Included with Hulk are two head sculpts, and two sets of hands (fisted and open).

Overall, Hulk is a fantastic figure with superior sculpting, design and deco.
