Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select Spider-Man: Homecoming – Tech Suit Spider-Man figure is available now. The suit is based on the likeness as seen in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

The Marvel Select Spider-Man: Homecoming stands at 6-1/2″ tall, and he is sculpting in his film accurate red, blue and black tech-gear costume given to him by Tony Stark. The costume is sculpted in several different textures, including a black spider logo sculpted over the chest, and a larger red spider on his back. The spider suit is painted in brighter colors than he appears in the film, with the red and blue deco looking a bit more animated. With the bright colors, the textures are easier to see and the detail here is nicely done. The figure also has the thin black lines on the red parts painted to indicate spider webs, and the lines are painted in neatly and there are no smudge marks.
The head sculpt is nicely done and includes the sculpted texture with thin black lines, and the eyes are white with thick black deco around it. Some parts of the costume have thick black deco such as the shoulders, forearms, wrists, hips, and upper part of the boots as seen in the film. The articulation is standard for Marvel Select, and includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-jointed knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Included with Spider-Man are four sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, including closed fisted, open fisted, web shooting, and climbing hands.
As Marvel Select is known for, Spidey includes themed base of a rooftop, and this piece is sculpted and painted to look as realistic as possible. The rooftop is sculpted in stones for the building with a roof over it, bricks and concrete for the chimney, a stone rooftop with cracks, and a pipe. The rooftop is made of several textures to make the stones, bricks, and stone rooftop look realistic. The deco really helps this come to life as the bricks are painted in brown with grey deco painted in between them to indicate cement, the stones are painted in grey, the roofing on the stones are painted in brown, the chimney, stone rooftop and pipe are painted in black.
Overall, the Marvel Select Spider-Man: Homecoming figure is a great offering from Diamond Select and this figure comes packed with great detail and movie likeness. The rooftop base is excellent and makes a perfect diorama piece for a number of Marvel Select figures it is big enough to hold at least three.
