Hasbro’s Marvel Legends 6″ Avengers: Infinity War Thor, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot 6″ scale Figure Box Set was previously offered as a Toys “R” Us exclusive. Since Toys “R” Us closed its doors this year, exclusives such as this have either had to find new homes or in some cases, plans and toys were put on hold or even cancelled. Thankfully, retailers like Entertainment Earth stepped up and saved some planned toys that needed the helping hand.

Thor is the most eye appealing figure in this set, and he is given the outfit that he wore in Avengers: Infinity War. The lightning detail painted on his armor and around his eye is nicely done with crisp paint applications and painted in silver. Most of the figure is cast in black as that is the primary color of the armor, and there is some great detailed sculpting and textures given to him. This includes some detailed line work on his chest, back, knee pads, boots and gauntlets. The head sculpt is nicely detailed and includes the eye patch over his right eye, and blonde hair with detailed sculpting and a wash over it. Included is the sword he used in the film, and the handle also has detailed line work with patterns, and a long blade attached to it. The head sculpt has a great likeness to Actor Chris Hemsworth.
Rocket Raccoon uses the same sculpt as previously used for movie-accurate figures, and this figure comes in a blue outfit with black, brown and silver deco. The sculpt itself is unchanged, and if you are familiar with this sculpt, the tail and hands tend to fall off especially when putting the large blaster into his hands. The fur is nicely detailed and is rough to the touch. His head sculpt has the appearance of a raccoon, with the black and grey hairs on either side of his face and beak. His eyes are also painted in red, which is a detail that some may overlook. Included are the same accessories as previously offered, the large blaster and two small pistols.
Teen Groot is definitely the primary reason to pick up this set. Groot is growing up once more, and this version of the character appeared after baby Groot following the events of Guardians of the Galaxy. Groot has a detailed figure sculpt with nicely done sculpting showcasing the bark of the tree, and this figure also has moss painted on his shoulders, left lower leg, top of his chest and neck, and the top of his head, as well as a vine growing from the top of his head. The sculpting is similar to what we seen on the adult Groot figure, only scaled down to Teen Groot. His head sculpt is nicely done and the detail of the top of the head is excellent. His eyes are given a metallic copper with black pupils, which looks ok. Included with Groot is a game console.
Overall, the Marvel Legends Avengers: Infinity War Thor, Rocket Raccoon and Groot 6″ Figure Box Set is an excellent offering with some great sculpting and deco. Fans and collectors of the line will surely want to pick this set up, especially for that Teen Groot figure.
