In Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury’s final act before being wiped along with half of Earth’s population is that he activated a pager to summon the first superhero that he encountered in the mid-1990’s, Captain Marvel. From the logo of that pager, fans knew who it was, and this character was introduced the following year in her own origin story and was the first female superhero movie in this new era of comic films. This version of Captain Marvel is based on her Kree Starforce Uniform as seen in this years film.

Captain Marvel is packaged on a standard Marvel Select blister card with a portrait of him on the side, an image and a bio of her on the back.
Captain Marvel is sculpted and painted in her green black and silver Starforce Uniform as seen in the film, with metallic deco for the green and silver that makes her outfit shine. The outfit includes nicely done sculpted details including the the lines and bevels in the sculpt especially in the black areas that you can’t see as well as these are not highlight with deco. The paint applications are solid with pretty much no bleeding on this copy, and she also has the Starforce logo on her chest in silver deco.
Her head sculpts are interchangeable and are offered in an unmasked head with the likeness of Actress Brie Larson, and the masked head sculpt includes the same green and silver deco in metallic, as well as the black around the sides of the helmet and her eyes. Her hair comes out from the top that looks like a mohawk, and both head sculpts have a wash over the hair and sculpted textures.
Goose the Cat is also included and has nicely done sculpted details and paint applications. The cat is painted in orange and white, with green eyes and a black and silver collar. She also has a base that is a blast effest for her feet, and looks like she’s taking flight while standing on it. Originally, the figure was supposed to come with a blast effect she could hold onto, and some changes were made at the factory so now you get this accessory, and the old blast effect appears to still be on the cards and will come with another figure down the line. This base is cast in orange plastic and has nicely done sculpted details to look like fire erupting from her feet.
She also includes 5 sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, a black base, and an acrylic flight base. The hinges on the acrylic stand are hand to move in certain parts and also a big on the fragile side, so breakage may occur here if excessive force is used.
The blast effect base is the largest accessory offered aside from the figure, and has pegs on the top for the holes in the bottom of her feet to stand on.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders (limited range of motion), swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest that also pivots, swivel waist, ball jointed hips with a great range of motion, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Captain Marvel is an excellent figure with some great accessories and there is a lot of display options here. The movie likeness is great and there is some great sculpted detail here.
