Mattel – WWE Ultimate Edition Triple H Figure Review

Mattel is now offering the next wave of their Ultimate Edition figures, and this wave includes Finn Balor and Triple H. The Ultimate Edition line is an upgrade to the Elite Collection, and adds more detail, additional articulation, additional accessories and paint applications for the $29.99 price point.

Triple H started his career in 1992 and signed with WCW in 1994. Triple H is credited for founding the D-Generation X tag-team that partnered him with Shawn Michaels, which became a major element of the “Attitude Era” in the 1990s, and founding the WWE branch NXT. He has also one several Championships, including being a five-time Intercontinental Champion, a three-time world tag team champion (two World Tag Team Championship reigns, and one Unified WWE Tag Team Championship reign), a two-time European Champion, and a fourteen-time world champion, making him the company’s seventh Triple Crown Champion and second Grand Slam Champion. He has also won two Royal Rumble matches and a King of Ring tournament winner.

Thank you to Mattel for providing their WWE Ultimate Edition Triple H Figure for review.

Availability: December 2019

Triple H is packaged in a new type of window box that is styled different than the packaging for the WWE Elite figures, and has action shots of the wrestler on the back, a brief bio, and an image of him on the right side. The figure and all of his accessories are carefully placed in a plastic tray, which is nicely displayed in the box and gives you a good look at what’s included.

Triple H is given the Ultimate treatment as part of the third wave by Mattel, and this version of him is based on his appearance in the late 1990’s. The figure is given a nicely done muscular tone as seen with many of these athletes and he is given a light beige skin tone. Triple H stands at just under 7″ tall and is in his black trunks with the Triple H symbols on the front and back of it, black elbow pads that are made of a soft plastic, black knee pads that are also made of a soft plastic, black boots, white wrist bands that are painted on, a white glove on his right hand, and white stripes on his index fingers. Triple H is also one of a handful of Wrestlers not to have any tattoos on their skin, which was common during this era.

Triple H comes with an assortment of accessories that he’s best remembered for, such as a sledgehammer that he can hold in one or both gripping hands, a water bottle, a ring attire dark grey shirt with a texture, a WWE Championship belt, three sets of interchangeable hands (gripping, fisted and open), a hat, and three interchangeable head sculpts.

Each of the head sculpts are given a unique facial expression and tooling, and the hair is different on each one. What is similar is the facial hair, and the beard and mustache are sculpted and painted in the same light brown deco as the hair.

Triple H is fully articulated and includes a ball jointed head, ball jointed torso, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles and hinged toes.

Overall, Triple H is an excellent figure and this is definitive version of him that you can own. The customizable options with the head sculpts, shirt and accessories are all great additions to display him. Every bit of detail is given to the figure that fans have been requesting. Triple H and Finn Balor are available now, so make sure to get your orders in at the stores listed below.
