Spider-Man is packaged in the standard Marvel Select packaging with the Spider-Man logo on the front and side, and an image of the figure with a description on the back.

Throughout Marvel history, Spider-Man has been given many different costumes and styles other than the classic red and blue suit with black web lines, and these have been seen in comics, television and even on the big screen a few times. This particular outfit however stands out with the additional white deco that is made of the logo on his chest and back, forearms and hand sculpts, and even on the heels and bottom of his feet. It’s safe to say that the artists that designed this outfit did a good job keeping the classic design, and updating it a bit just for this PlayStation 4 video game. The figure itself transitions well and pays a great likeness to the game, and he even has a much better eye appealing design and paint applications compared to the one that Hasbro put out.

The outfit keeps the classic red and blue deco, with black web lines sculpted and painted in the grooves, and as mentioned, the white deco that is a new look for him really fits in nicely with the outfit. This outfit also has some sculpted lines on the blue parts, such as the torso, back, arms and legs that is not too noticeable from a distance. His head sculpt keeps the classic design of the mask, including the red with black webbing pattern, white eyes and black trim around them. What is also great about his outfit is the areas of the red and black webbing that are isolated, such as his waist and hips. Most of the red is on his torso, back, head, arms and hands, as well as the bottom and there are even some red isolated on his feet.

Spider-Man is given four sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, including closed fisted, open fist, wall crawler and web shooting, and which gives him a lot of different options to pose and display. Also included is a piece of webbing to hold a villain to a wall, which is placed over their shoulders and onto the chest, such as Green Goblin as shown above. This webbing won’t work if the figure’s arms are moved in any other position other than their sides, and won’t work on bulky characters like Venom or the Rhino. Also included is a cell phone, and a spider bot.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso and waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.

Overall, Spider-Man features a great sculpt and a great likeness to the game. The figure fits in nicely with your growing collection, and even works well with some of the older classic spidey villains as shown. Speaking of which, we defiantly need a villain from this game, such as Mister Negative to go along with Spidey.
