Boba Fett is inspired from his appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and the figure joins the Star Wars Select line by Diamond Select Toys. Boba Fett features a big, bulky sculpt that will stand out compared to any other Boba Fett figure you may already have from another company. Along with this impressive sculpt, the paint applications are remarkably done, including the metallic silver deco on the chest, crotch, helmet and gauntlets that make it look worn and battle damaged. The sculpt features some great sculpted details, including on the knee pads, gauntlets, chest armor, shoulder pads with the painted symbol on the left, jet pack and the helmet with the articulated antenna. The jetpack is not removable, and includes two translucent fire effects that plug in (it’s recommended to use a hair dryer as the pegs are tight, so you’ll want to soften up the plastic). He also has the cape down the left side of his back, which is made of green plastic with a wash over it. Most of the sculpt has a wash to make it look dirty and battle worn, which is a nice effect to it.

The left gauntlet also has an interchangeable translucent flamethrower effect piece, which can be swapped out with a small blaster piece that can pop right out. This flamethrower effect is nicely done with red and orange making it look like fire, along with a great sculpt. He also comes with a EE-3 Carbine Rifle, a set of trigger finger hands, open hands, and a blaster translucent effect piece for the rifle.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. This is in addition to the swivel antenna on top of his helmet.

Overall, Boba Fett is a fantastic figure and this scale works extremely well for the brand. Maybe even more so than the 6″ line as you can more detail and definition in the head sculpts.
