Thank you to Diamond Select Toys for sending along their Marvel Select Hawkeye Figure for review.

Availability: January 2022

Hawkeye is packaged on the Select-style blister card, with artwork on the side, and images of Hawkeye and Lucky on the back as well as a description.

Hawkeye gets a brand new release and is a repaint from this older figure sculpt that is exclusively available at the Disney Store / Shop Disney.Hawkeye is comic-based, and this new outfit is inspired from the new television series on Disney+, which takes place after Avengers: Endgame. He comes in a black outfit with a light grey wash, with purple and black on his chest and sleeves. The sculpt comes with nicely done details and textures, including sculpt straps, belt made of soft plastic with a quiver attached to it, and on his thigh is a holster for his crossbow. Sculpted on his back is a second quiver also with non-removable arrows inside.

Lucky is also repainted, this time with a light brown/golden fur, a dark brown collar with a metallic silver dog tag and buckle. The sculpted details and textures are also nicely done, and the facial details came out great with a tongue sticking out, black eyes and a nose.

Included with Hawkeye is an extra head sculpt with a bandage on his nose and eye brow, 6 trick arrows, a bo, a crossbow, and an extra right hand to hold the arrows. These accessories are also repainted from the first-release, and the arrows tend to fall off the hand and don’t connect to the bo.

Both figures are repaints and you can see the vast differences in the deco above, including new shades of black and purple on Hawkeye, and the color differences with Lucky. Hawkeye’s sleeves are also painted this time around.

Hawkeye’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel bicep, hinged elbow, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. Lucky is non-articulated, but the jaw is bendy.

Overall, both figures are great re-deco’s from the initial releases and pay nice tribute to the television series on Disney+. Hawkeye is especially exceptional and this is one set you would want to add to your collection. Look for this set to come anytime now at ShopDisney.
