This year for San Diego Comic-Con, Diamond Select Toys is offering an exclusive John Wick figure in VHS clamshell packaging for convention goers, and features the likeness of actor Keanu Reeves. Each figure in the VHS-style packaging is priced at $24.99 and will be sold at the Diamond Select Toys booth at Comic-Con, which takes place July 20-24th. These figures are also limited to 4,000 pieces each.

John Wick is packaged in a VHS-style clamshell case, which pays tribute to the old VHS cassette packaging that movies used to be offered in back in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The covers features artwork and an image of John Wick from the film, along with logo’s, on the front and sides and additional artwork and images on the back. The figure is inside the clamshell packaging on the right, and the accessories are located on the left. Unfortunately, you have to cut around the plastic to remove the figures and accessories as these are not re-sealable, which would have been great considering how spectacularly done the packaging is.
John Wick is the same figure as released back in 2019, with the black suit and tie, long black pants, black shoes, a silver belt buckle, and the jacket and tie is made of a soft plastic whereas the rest are hard plastic. What is special and unique about this release is the new VHS packaging, which is stands out on its own and this figure is probably meant to be displayed in packaging, even if you already own the initial release of this figure. The head sculpt is also the same, with the cuts and bruises, sculpted black hair, black mustache, beard and goatee.
He includes four accessories, including a rifle and pistol, which have also beed re-released with this figure, and two brand news accessories that are unique to this release. This includes a base for him to stand on, and a key card. The trigger finger on the right hand is the best to hold the guys as the finger can be put through the loop for a more secure and better fit.
The articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Overall,
John Wick is another great SDCC offering, and this packaging is extremely eye-appealing that fans will love.
