NECA Toys Disney’s Gargoyles gets some major updates in the collection with their newly released Bronx and Demona 7″ scale Ultimate figures that are available now. Bronx is a Gargoyle beast, a member of Wyvern Clan, and a founding member of the Manhattan Clan, formed after being awaken by Xanatos when the castle was brought to New York City and topped his skyscraper with the castle, which broke the spell.

Bronx is packaged on a window box with an opening flap, with beautifully done cover art on the front, figure images on the sides, and back. Also on the back is a description, and a look at additional characters offered in this line. The opening flap reveals another image of Bronx, and in the window you can see him packaged in a plastic tray along with all of his accessories.
Bronx is given a modern update with a touch of realism, and not solely based on the cartoon. The sculpt is smooth with muscles and bone structures, and a smooth sculpt. This includes spikes on his back, and a short tail on his back,
The paint applications includes a variety of light and dark blue, with grey on the belly and bottom of the feet. The toe nails are also painted in a dark blue, which makes them stand out.
Both of the head sculpts gives him a great likeness and each are dynamic in their own way, including the hinged jaw mouth and the open mouth, where you can see all of the interiors such as the tongue and teeth.
Bronx also includes the closed wings for Goliath, and meet that can be placed in his open mouth. The closed wings can be placed on Goliath by first removing his head, and placing it over his torso. The wings are given some nicely done sculpted details, with a shinny glossy finish that helps it stand out. These folded wings allow more room on your toy shelf as the open wings he comes with has a large wingspan, as you are probably aware by now.
His articulation is also standard for the line, including a ball jointed head, ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders x 2, ball hinged back hips x2, swivel-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles x2.
Overall, Bronx is amazingly done, and fans are surely going to want this figure to their collection. Every aspect about this line has been well thought out and executed, especially the engineering, paint applications, and overall likeness to the quality. Bronx is an essential part of the Gargoyle’s line, and he will surely win the hearts of collectors, as the likeness and attention to detail is just spot on.
