Back in 1999, Beast Wars season 3 brought back Tigatron and Airazor after being abducted the Vok, an alien species introduced in the show and merged the sparks of both characters together to create Tigerhawk, and they were given a new TransMetal 2 body. Tigerhawk’s original action figure was released that same year, and 25 years later, Hasbro is offering a new figure in their Transformers: Legacy United line.
Tigerhawk is the most powerful Transformer in Beast Wars, and has the ability to control the weather and terrain on prehistoric Earth, and includes the ability to fly, features razor sharp claws and teeth, two blasters, two razor wings/swords, and a double barreled handheld blaster.

Tigerhawk is packaged in a plastic-less window box that includes some great artwork of Tigerhawk on the front, along with the Transformers Legacy United artwork, images of him on the left side, images of additional characters on the right side, and images of him in robot and beast mode on the back. The TransMetal 2 logo is missing from the package, but was on the vintage figure’s packaged back in 1999.
Tigerhawk is given an all-new sculpt and is inspired from the vintage toy and his appearance on the Beast Wars animated series third season. For the first time ever animation color accurate deco and has the crescent orange-yellow eye details underneath his green translucent visor on his head sculpt. He is also painted in metallic purple, grey, black, white, and a red Maximal logo on his chest in robot mode.
His wings can swivel up and down to create a flight mode that the vintage toy had as well as his appearance in the show. His spring-loaded missile feature that the vintage toy had is not offered for this new version, and instead the missiles/swords only plug into pegs on the tips of the wings.
 
The cannons can also be stored on the wings as shown in the gallery and in the video, and can be placed with the cannons sticking up or down as they can swivel around. His double-barreled weapon can also be placed on his right or left forearm by plugging it into the peg, and he can also hold his blasters in his hands, or even can be plugged into his forearms. The missiles on the wings can also become swords he can hold in his hands, just like the vintage toy.
His beast mode includes razor sharp claws and teeth, and the wings can also swivel to the front or back. The wings also have chain guns, and he has the blasters plugged into the oppose side.
The head sculpt is impressive, and he includes a hinged jaw, and black stripes that are different on both sides of his face.
A bird’s eye view gives you a look at the top of his beast mode, which has the wings pointing forward for flight.
The wings can also be raised as shown, and the blasters can also be pointed forward. The double-cannon blaster can also be stored underneath his tail in this mode.
