Brawn is packaged in the standard window box packaging that is standard for this line, including nicely done artwork and images on all sides. On the back are images of Brown in both modes, including a look at the diorama that is included.
Brawn is inspired from his 1980’s cartoon and movie appearance and this is by far the best version of this character from that era we have ever gotten. While standing up straight he keeps his box-style 80’s toy look, he is given a modern era sculpt and articulation in this new era, which has seen some great updates to classic characters in recent years especially in the Studio Series ’86 line.
Brawn comes in dark green and orange plastic, and black for the wheels. The face and forearms are given a metallic silver, a red Autobot symbol on his chest, a light grey helmet and the eyes are painted in a light blue.
His articulation includes and includes a swivel, head, ball jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, and hinged feet.
Included with Brawn is his blaster, which he can hold in either of his hands, or store it on his back.
In vehicle mode, he can hold the blaster on the top of roof by plugging it into the tire, and this is an off-road vehicle. He keeps the same deco as he does in robot mode, and this given some upgraded features than what is shown in the cartoon or film. This includes an updated grill design, which is in metallic silver, with headlights and lights. He is also given raised racks on the top of the vehicle, and a raised section on the top of the hood. His classic spare tire is on the top of the hood, and the back includes a container marked with a sculpted “X” that pays homage to his 80’s design. The windows are also in light blue, with the exception of the rear window as that was left green.
Overall, Hasbro’s Transformers Studio Series ’86 line has been a dream come true for fans that want G1 accurate figures, and this line has not disappointed! Brawn is no exception and this is the most accurate figure of this character ever released, so you’re definitely going to want to own him and other figures from this line!
