Sgt. Slaughter’s Marauders is a team within G.I. Joe led by this drill sergeant that specializes in rapid offensive attacks. Each member of this unit wears comes in a green, brown and blue camouflage outfit. Sgt. Slaughter is inspired from the 1989 o-ring style figure and given updated accessories. One of these accessories is a tiny figure on a blister card that resembles his o-ring figures release, with the packaging featuring great artwork on the cover, a bio and the flag points on the back. What is missing on the back however is the artwork of additional figures, which was shown on the cardback in 1989..

Sgt. Slaughter is packaged in a window box with beautifully done artwork on the front, with images on the side and on the back. He comes in plastic tray along with his accessories.
Sgt. Slaughter is inspired from the 1989 o-ring 3 3/4″ figure and modernized in the 6″ Classified line. Slaughter comes in his Mad Marauders outfit, and comes in the blue, green and black (as opposed to brown. The pants are given a sculpted texture, and he has a gold belt buckle, and black wrist bands.
His facial details look great and has short brown hair, a mustache, and eye brows.
Sgt. Slaughter includes 9 interchangeable hands (2x closed fisted, 2x open grip, 2x open hands, 2x pointy finger hands, and 1x Karate chop), 2 boxing gloves, 2 Dumbbells, Whistle, Sunglasses, Hat, Duffle bag, Drill instructor baton, Miniature carded action figure, and a Machine gun.
The Miniature action figure is packaged on a retro inspired blister card, with beautifully done artwork on the front, a bio and Flag Points on the back, which pays homage to the mail-in Flag points that the vintage line had where you can collect and send in the points for a Free figure.
The Dumbbells and Boxing gloves are the same as the one’s that came with Big Boa.
The Drill instructor baton, hat, glasses and Whistle are his most iconic accessories and essential for any Sgt. Slaughter figure. All of these we’ve seen before and still look great.
The rifle can fit into his open grip hands, and the Duffel bag as U.S.A. on the back, and works as a real bag that can hod accessories. It also has two straps that can fit over his shoulders and be placed on his back.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, swivel-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Sgt. Slaughter is given a great sculpt that is modernized and is a great additions to the Classified 6″ line. I personally love this design for the character and am thrilled to see him being offered.
