Hasbro’s Ghostbusters 1984 Plasma Series Pack O-Ring 3.75″ Figure Set is packaged in a 1980’s VHS cassette inspired packaging, with weathered details, logo’s that includes the Ghostbusters symbol and the 40th Anniversary sticker, and the back includes images of the figures inside. The figures and Neutrona wands each come in separate plastic trays for safe keeping.
The Ghostbusters share the same sculpt and are inspired from the 1980’s and 1990’s G.I. Joe o-ring style, with a rubber band at the center that many of us would easily recognize. The outfits includes their names in small print on their chest, a wrinkled suit with details that includes the Ghostbusters logo on their shoulder, black undershirt, a green harness, grey belt, black gloves and boots, a yellow wire on the left hip, and dark grey elbow pads. Their head sculpts are all unique to the actors likeness, which is also a more basic likeness compared to the 6″ Plasma Series figures.
Their articulation is standard for o-ring, and includes a swivel neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, and hinged knees.
The proton packs can be placed on their back, and the Neutrona wands come separately in the packaged but can be connected to the packs and also storded on the side. The Neutrona wands can also be placed in their hands.
Included is a PKE Meter, Ecto Goggles and a Ghost Trap.
The gurney folds can store all four proton packs and there is a groove at the bottom of the packs to plug it into the gurney. The gurney also folds up and can be stored inside the Ecto-1.
Only 3 out of 4 figures can fit inside the Ecto-1, which is unfortunate but to get all four to fit would require the Ecto-1 to be bigger and therefore more expensive. You can place 2 figures in the front, and 1 in the back even though there are 2 seats.
Overall, Hasbro’s Ghostbusters (1984) Plasma Series Pack O-Ring 3.75″ Figure Set is a great offering and something that fans will appreciate. These characters have never been offered in o-ring (1:18) scale, so this is definitely something new and different. This is a must have for collectors!
