The Horde Trooper Prime made his debut in Mattel’s Masters of the Universe: Origins line, and he is also referred to as the Guardsmen of Doom Tower. The Horde Trooper Prime is similar to the Horde Trooper, but with red, black and grey, interchangeable arms, and interchangeable arm accessories. The Hover Robot Prime is also included, which is a repaint from the Masters of the Universe Classics release of the character.

The Horde Trooper Prime is packaged in a window box, with beautifully done artwork on all sides, especially on the front (top) and the back. The inside flap includes a preview of his features.
The Horde Trooper Prime is a repaint of the existing Horde Trooper figure, with the same arm cannon given to the Power-Con 2021 exclusive Hordak figure, a new fabric cape, and a new interchangeable arm that has four alternate attachments. He is repainted in red, black and grey, with the Horde logo on his chest. The cape is made of fabric, which is tucked in-between the chest armor and held in place by the shoulder pegs that snap into the joints.
The Hover Robot Prime is a repaint from the Masters of the Universe Classics release of the character, which is also painted in red, black and light grey, and comes with an acrylic flight stand.
The Horde Trooper Prime can be split open to reveal the interior components of his chest and back, and this is reveals how the cape is placed inside the torso as mentioned above.
The interchangeable arm is compatible with the four alternate attachments, which are different weapons that can be plugged into it.
You can also use the cannon arm, and the weapon holding arm at the same time, even though the instructions on the package don’t show this.
Comparisons are always the best part of any review. You can see he’s a repaint of the Horde Trooper, and given the same arm cannon that came with Hordak.
Overall, the Horde Trooper Prime and Hover Robot Prime are excellent figures and you’re definitely going to want to army build on this set, just as you would the standard Horde Trooper.
