The final member of the Dark Four (or Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) has been released in the Mythic Legions line, which is part of the Mythic Legions: Necronominus wave. The other members of the Dark Four have already been released in recent years, and if you missed out, BigBadToyStore should have most of the offerings in-stock. The Dark Four are inspired from the Four Horsemen, and Necronominus is the horsemen of death, which should be obvious given he’s a skeleton as are his horse and henchman. Necronominus is also the most powerful of the Dark Four, and he can esurrect an army of the undead to follow him.
Thank you to BigBadToyStore for sending along the Four Horsemen Studios – Mythic Legions: Necronominus Conabus (Necronominus’ Horse) figure for review.
Availability: March 2025
Conabus is packaged in a window box, with some great artwork on all sides, and an image revealing the Dark Four on the back.
Conabus is a skeletal horse for Necronominus and the Four Horsemen prove that when it comes to quality and detail, they deliver each time. Conabus sculpting and skeletal design is life-like, and with detailed skeletal designs, tooling and paint applications applied, including a hollow torso and mouth inside. There is also some flesh decay that is given a sculpted texture, which can be found at the hip and neck joints. He also has a saddle that is made of soft plastic, and includes straps, holsters for weapons, and all other detail that you’d expect to see on a medieval saddle. The saddle is also given some armor, which is given metallic silver deco with a black wash to make it look old. The tail also has some armor on top, along with long grey hair and straps. Conabus also comes with two shields that can be placed on his hips by connecting the clips to the straps.
The head sculpt is impressive, with the skeletal detailed likeness, hollow parts, decay on the neck, harness and straps that reach out to the saddle. There are also some additional skeletal parts as part of a decorative display on his head.
Conabus is fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head and neck, hinged hips, knees and feet for all 4 legs, and a swivel hinged tail.
There are also some decorative skeletal’s and small shields on his chest, which also has some great detail.
Conabus is the horse for Necronominus, but I don’t have that figure in-hand just yet so that’s why he’s missing from the photography. But here is a comparison with the other members of the Dark Four along with their horses. It should also be noted that Necronominus and Conabus are sold separately, whereas the other members we sold along with their horse as a set.
Here is a comparison with the other horses. You get the look and feel of the Dark Four’s powers with their horse, with all four of them are able to sit on top of the saddle if you choose.
Overall, Conabus is an excellent figure with some great detail, sculpting and paint applications that the Four Horsemen Studios are known for. Conabus fits in perfectly with the Dark Four offerings and this is something that you’re definitely going to want to add to your Mythic Legions collection, especially no matter how big or small it may be, these figures will stand out. Make sure to grab these while you can at BigBadToyStore now.
