Mattel’s popular Turtles of Grayskull line continues to exceed fans expectations and this new wave is no exception. As I’m sure you aware this line crosses two of the biggest properties of the 1980’s, Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with elements of both brands given to most figures. This wave includes Clamp Champ, new versions of Leonardo and Michelangelo, and Ninjor (Reptile Wars).

Clamp Champ and Ninjor are packaged on a blister card with the Turtles of Grayskull artwork, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe logo’s on the bottom. On the back is more great artwork, logo’s, a description and a look at the rest of the wave. Included is a sheet of instructions showing what parts are removable and interchangeable with other Origins style figures, Blood of the Dragon mini-comic. A closer look of the inside of the mini-comic is shown in the video (embedded above).
Clamp Champ and Ninjor are both given new parts and some reuse from existing Turtles figures. Clamp Champ appears to have a new torso, chest armor, and legs, and a new head. Ninjor is given a lot of reuse from previous figures, and includes a new head, armor and belt.
Clamp Champ comes in dark blue chest and leg armor with sculpted details, light grey chest armor over it, dark grey belt with green at the front, dark grey and green shoulder and forearm armor, green and light grey knee armor, dark grey boots, and metallic silver bracelets. His head sculpt includes short black hair with a texture, white teeth, white and black eyes, and black eye brows.
Ninjor’s head sculpt has the likeness of a dragon, with a hinged jaw. The beige and black heads works well, and he has red eyes, purple/pink interior mouth, and light grey teeth.
Ninjor comes in translucent purple shoulders and knees, a black torso, dark grey chest armor, with silver around the crest, red forearms and hands with a sculpted texture, boots and black feet. He also has a loose spiked collar around his neck.

Clamp Champ comes with a clamp, with the face of a snake, such as the eyes and the shape of the mouth. The clamp can open and close, and it’s free, with dark grey and metallic silver.
A lof of this sculpt appears to be new, but he’s given some shared parts with He-Man, including the armor on the arm and knee.
The wings are reuse from Hordak, which are red and black, but are left mostly red with black on the top only, whereas Hordak’s was given more black. He also includes a sword, and a neck piece that can raise his head. The sword can be stored on his back.
He’s a comparison with Ninjor, and the description on the back of the packaging specifies that he removed his outfit to reveal the dragon underneath, which is what he’s been hiding. Ninjor uses the upper armor arms, knees and boots from Vypor, and the feet from Cartoon Collection Webstor.
Overall, Clamp Champ and Ninjor are excellent offerings and definitely worth adding to your collection. The Masters of the Universe x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtles of Grayskull line brings the best of both of these iconic 80’s properties that generations have grown up knowing.
