Aurra Sing made a brief appearance in 1999’s Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, where she was on Tatooine and watched the Boonta Eve Classic podrace, during the Trade Federation’s invasion on the planet Naboo, where Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi were helping to save the planet. She left the Jedi order and became a bounty hunter that notably trained Boba Fett as a boy and after the events of Attack of the Clones, and took jobs for Ziro the Hutt and Cad Bane.

Aurra Sing is packaged on a blister card with updated artwork and images compared to her 2012 release, logo’s, and the back is also updated with images, an updated description, and this time around images of additional figures are not shown at the bottom.

Aurra Sing uses the same sculpt used in 2012, which she was also based on her appearance in The Phantom Menace. This new release gives her some much needed updates, with the exception of creating an all-new sculpt, which would have given her more articulation at the very least. These new updates include new paint applications and deco, including the photo realistic facial details, which gives her the best likeness in this scale. Her fingernails are not painted in black this time around, and the hair is given an updated blonde wash over the red hair. The skin tone is given a slightly darker grey, the orange outfit is also darker, and the brown may have a slight difference in the tone as well. The chains and the belt buckles don’t have as much gold and red deco applied compared to the 2012 release. The vest also has some accessories sculpted to it, and this is also given slightly less deco compared to her previous release, as well.
In addition to the photo realistic facial details on the head sculpt, she also includes the antenna, which is on the fragile side and made of a soft plastic, and long red hair with blonde highlights.

The two blaster pistols are also the same, and this time around they have silver deco added. These can also be noted in the holsters on her hips.

The rifle can be stored around her torso, over her arms, and placed in one or both hands. This is also given some updated deco, and is given metallic silver, brown, and grey. This rifle is also given some less deco compared to the 2012 release.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel torso, swivel hips, and swivel-hinged knees. As this is the older articulation, you’re going to miss the ball jointed torso, hip and ankle articulation here.
Overall, Aurra Sing is given an excellent update that fans are surely going to love. The new facial likeness really captures the character quite well. Make sure grab her now at Entertainment Earth!
