Tygra and Cheetara are packaged on blister cards, with the ThunderCats logo on top of the front, their names and the ThunderCats logo inside the blister card, and the back includes the logo and artwork showcasing many characters below.

Tygra is given a new clean look, and this time around the colors are brighter and a better likeness to his animated appearance. What was taken away was the metallic gold deco that the first release had, including the dirt on the front of the chest, but this release is visually better, with the light blue tones, beige feet, orange and white fur with black stripes. The ThunderCats logo is on his chest, in red and black, and the red is also brighter.

His head sculpt is also an improvement and the eyes are looking straight this time around, as opposed to looking off to the side.

Tygra includes his Flail whip with the long rope, with red balls on the end’s of the plastic piece, and the handle is light blue, as opposed to gold.

A comparison shows the brighter colors and the differences in deco, which is an improvement over his original release.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, hinged calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Cheetara is also given an improvement with deco, with brighter and clean tones, and comes in her classic orange and red outfit, with the ThunderCats logo on her chest in red and black. Her black spots remain on her right shoulder, and she has a loose bracelet on that side, and a gauntlet on the left.

Her head sculpt is given some new updates, including the skin color being lighter, and she has blonde hair with black spots, orange around the eyes, and red lips.

Cheetara includes a long and short staff. The long and short staffs are a lighter metallic gold compared to the original release.

Cheetara’s new deco certainly stands out compared to her previous release, and is more accurate to the cartoon. The dirty deco on her chest has been removed for this release, and she is visually better.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged biceps, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel-hinged knees, hinged calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Overall, both the Deluxe versions of Tygra and Cheetara looks great and captures the likeness of these characters perfectly as they appeared in the classic cartoon. Fans have waited 40 years for ThunderCats action figures like this, and Super7 surely has not disappointed here. The attention to detail and character likeness is pretty much spot on, and the accessories really round out the character nicely. As these are part of the new Deluxe offerings, don’t expect extra heads or hands, as that is reserved strictly for Ultimates! You can grab them and other figures now at BigBadToyStore!
