Hasbro made their long awaited return to the NYCC show floor this year, with a booth showcasing their major properties. This report will highlight the Star Wars and Marvel sections of the booth
STAR WARS – The case was full of Black Series figures in various poses. Highlights included the Boba Fett figure from the Book of Boba Fett (with removable knee pads and first time ever toe articulation), and the Darth Vader with cloth wire cape, a first for the Black Series.
Marvel – Marvel Legends had a strong showing at the show, with their case dominated by the INCREDIBLE 12” Apocalypse. I can’t tell you how impressive this figure is. You really have to see it for yourself. Also shown were the second series of X-Men ‘97 figures, as well as some new classic Marvel Legends, including a Secret Wars Iceman that comes with a replica ”magic motion” shield. In addition, the Inhumans 2 packs shown during the panel, featuring Black Bolt & Triton and Marvel’s Medusa (with articulated hair) & Marvel’s Gorgon were also on hand, as well as the very large Executioner Build-a-Figure.
