The Cobra Grim-Viper is a brand new character introduced in Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified line. The Grim-Viper is given this promotion in the Cobra ranks when a Range Viper proves themselves that are skilled at survival in the outdoors.

The Grim-Viper is packaged in a window box, with logo’s and artwork on all sides, an image of him on the side, and the back includes an action shot with some great toy photography.
The Grim-Viper uses some of the sculpt from the S.A.W. Viper and the head is reused from the Range Viper. The torso and vest, hips, and hands come from the S.A.W. Viper, and is given new arms, legs, and feet. The hips keep the holster for the knife around back, and the pistol on the right side, and the left hip has a new sheath for a second larger knife. The vest and belt are black and brown, with a green camouflage sleeves, pants, black boots, black gloves, brown forearm pads, and the same green belt buckle as the S.A.W. Viper.
The head is reuse from the Range Viper, with the skull mask, and the brain showing on the sides of the helmet. This mask is white, with some black deco on the mouth, nose and eyes, and yellow eyes. He also has the Cobra logo on the upper part of the vest just like the S.A.W. Viper has.
The backpack is also reuse from the Range Viper, and is mostly black, with bullets stored on the back, and some red details. There is also an antenna on top for communication.
Included are two knives, both reuse from the S.A.W. Viper, a pistol, and a Mini gun that can be held in one or two hands. The Mini gun has a large barrel and two handles, with some deco on the front to give it some detail.
Comparing him to the Alley Viper, Crimson Guard, Cobra B.A.T., and S.A.W. Viper, the Grim-Viper has his own distinct likeness and uniform as do all the different Cobra vipers and troopers. This new character however certainly stands out with the design and deco.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, swivel-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall the Grim-Viper is an excellent figure and a great offering to add to the Cobra ranks. The attention to detail, weapons and character design looks great and this is surely a character you’re going to want to buy multiples of. Make sure to grab him now at BigBadToyStore!
