Craig Drobis is the SVP of Marketing for boys action figures and collectors for Jakks Pacific. Craig will be answering your questions for all Ask Jakks submissions. ToyHypeUSA will be sending him monthly questions and we will have your answers back on or around the beginning of each month. Send us your questions to [email protected] by August 31st.

1. Is Jakks Pacific still releasing the DCEU Wonder Woman Big Fig which comes with “deluxe” paint apps and additional sword and shield accessories? Or has this version of the Wonder Woman Big Fig been cancelled?

Unfortunately we were not able to get this figure placed at retail.  We will continue to try but at this point there are no plans to release it to the market.

2. Is there anything in the works for Warcraft? If not the movie, game based figures?

Our agreement and rights were limited to the Warcraft movie, so there are currently no plans to extend the line beyond the waves which have been shipped.

3. At SDCC during the panel, Jakks shown the return of the classic WWE plush Wrestling buddies with Finn Balor. Are these focused on just modern characters or are all era’s possible?

The wrestling buddies are something we are excited about and hope that kids and fans get excited too.  We do have plans for Superstars from past and present in the line.  How quickly we are able to bring them to market will depend on the retail response to the first few that are released.  The generation one versions of the Rock and Cena are available at retailers like Toys R Us and Amazon now and the Finn Balor revised look are available for preorder now at Ringsidecollectibles.com.

4. During the panel, the attendees had a chance to choose the next possible Big Figs for DC. Nightwing won, but are the other three choices of Aquaman, Reverse Flash, and Resurrected Superman possible choices after Nightwing is released?

I think that all of them are possible at some point.  We are focusing on the theatrical characters in the short term so that is where the focus of our new figures will be with the Justice League movie ones we hope you like as well.  After that, we could turn back to more of the Classic characters, but that is to be determined.

5. Also at the panel, Jakks stated that they work with some customizers to run ideas off of. How closely does Jakks take these ideas and how can fans submit their ideas for possible releases?

We definitely look at these ideas to see if there are ways we can incorporate them into the line.  There is obviously a lot more customizers can do as far as paint and detail that we can’t achieve and maintain our current great pricing.  The point we wanted to make by highlighting these customizers is that we are able to get a tremendous amount of lifelike detail in our sculpts and we appreciate that fans use them as a template to create their own variations which sometimes look as good at the $200+ statues and models that are out there.  So we want to celebrate their efforts because they have taken something we are proud of and made it even more awesome.  The easiest way to show share ideas is to tag us through our social channels, Twitter (@jakkstoys) and Instagram (@jakkstoys) in particular.
