Diamond Select Toys is offering their Marvel Select Avengers: Infinity War line-up with three new releases – Captain America, Iron Spider and Thor with Groot. Captain America features the likeness of Actor Chris Evans and includes interchangeable hand sculpts, shields and a base.

Captain America is packaged on a blister card with the movie logo on the front, and movie images on the side and back along with a character bio.
Captain America is based on his appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, which was Marvel’s blockbuster film of 2018 that brought the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy together to stop Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones. Obviously, they failed, and the film ended with half of the universe deceased, including Spider-Man and Groot among many other characters.
Captain America features the likeness of Actor Chris Evans and is sculpted in his red, grey and blue costume as seen in the film. This costume includes sculpted textures along with realistic details that includes a harness on his back and straps around his shoulders with silver buckles, a belt with pouches on the sides with a silver belt buckle, and nicely details boots with straps around them, with the right one having some bleeding and sloppy brown paint applications on the straps, and the left one mostly in black. The outfit however is stunning, with the blue star on his chest, red and light grey stripes on the stomach, and stripes going down the legs, and some red stripes on the biceps and triceps.
His head sculpt is nicely done and includes brown hair that is textured, along with a beard and mustache, and his facial details including the eyes are nicely detailed and painted. For Marvel Select, the movie figures are still being hand designed compared to the latest digital scanning and photorealistic technology, and these are still looking pretty good as you get to see some true talent behind the sculpting and design.
Captain America includes his two shields are that interchangeable with the folded up versions on his forearms that come pre-arranged when you open the package. The hand sculpts need to be removed to remove and insert the shields, and the two extended shields can be inserted on the forearm with the hands keeping them from falling off. The shields are nicely detailed and sculpted and are a smooth blue plastic, with some black and silver deco. The shields are also a bit loose fitting, but if you lift them up into the forearm (away from the wrist), they are a bit more firmer.
He also includes four sets of interchangeable hands, including fisted, and three sets of open hands. The base is nicely designed and includes grass that has sculpted textures, with dirt around the edges. The grass detail is painted in various shades of green to resemble real grass. The base is inspired by the battle scene at Wakanda.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball jointed stomach, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Captain America is an excellent figure with a great likeness to his movie appearance. Captain America is available now at comic shops, and can also be purchased at the links below:
