Pat Patterson joins the WWE Elite Collection by Mattel, who is best known to multiple generations of fans as the behind the scenes creative consultant and producer, as well as the inaugural WWE Intercontinental Champion and creator of the Royal Rumble match. Pat Patterson is also remembered as Vince McMahon’s right-hand man, one of two stooges, and played an integral role in helping the WWE become a global phenomenon in sports.
Thank you to Mattel for providing their WWE Elite Collection Series 69 Wal-Mart Exclusive Pat Patterson Figure for review.
Availability: September 2019 – Wal-Mart Exclusive
Pat Patterson is packaged on a standard WWE Elite packaging, with a portrait of him on the side, and on the back is an action shot of him in the ring, a bio and title history.
This figure is based on the Attitude Era, which took place in the late 1990’s and was branded as “WWF Attitude.” Pat Patterson features a great likeness and comes with a white fabric shirt with the words 1st I.C. Champ Rio De Janeiro on the front in black text, and velcro in the back. The pants are also made of fabric and are removable, leaving him with his wrestling outfit, which includes black shorts, soft plastic knee pads and black and white boots. The fabric shirt and pants are based on his WWE Raw match with Gerald Brisco against Stone Cold Steve Austin.
His head sculpt looks great and he is given blonde hair that is sculpted and painted with a wash, nicely done facial details, including painted eyes and eye brows. His chest has a hairy chest paint as seen with so many other WWE figures in this line.
Also included are two open gripping hands, and a riot helmet for extra protection.
His articulation includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel boots/calves, and hinged rocker ankles.
Overall, Pat Patterson is a must-own figure for every WWE fan that is collecting Mattel’s WWE figures, no matter what era you are focusing your collection on, you need this master architect in your collection. Pat Patterson is in Wal-Mart stores now, but these exclusive figures are very hard to find in their stores, so you may have to go to the secondary market.
