The Disney Store and Diamond Select Toys are offering three new Marvel Select figures that are available now, including Thanos and the Incredible Hulk as they appeared in Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel as she appeared in the Captain Marvel Movie. These are just the latest Marvel Select exclusives, and we expect to see more in 2020 and hopefully some announcements next month at New York ToyFair.

Thanos is packaged in the standard Marvel Select packaging, with the Avengers: Endgame artwork on the side, and an image of him on the back along with a brief bio.
Thanos is based on his appearance in Avengers: Endgame, which saw the final showdown between the Avengers and this villain. This figure was inevitable for Diamond Select Toys to offer in the Marvel Select line given his importance in the movie franchise and well known among comic fans. Since he made his film debut, the character is now also known to the general public and has become a icon to Hollywood.
Thanos is massive, big, bulky and the sculpt has some weight to it showcasing his immense strength and power. The figure stands at 9″ tall, which makes him the size of Hulk and other taller figures in the line, and is sculpted in his gold and black armor as seen in the film. The armor is incredibly detailed with sculpted lines, grooves, and the attention to detail is some of the best we’ve seen on a Thanos movie figure released stateside. The armor has a wash over it, including some brown deco over the black throughout the sculpt.
His head sculpt is amazingly detailed and offers a much better likeness compared to other movie figures released stateside, and includes a helmet that is sculpted on and cannot be removed. The facial details are nicely done, especially the chin. His skin tone is purple, and he is given a brighter purple lips, and blue eyes. Some parts of the flesh also have a wash over it.
Thanos includes an interchangeable left forearm, one with armor, and the other with the Infinity Gauntlet with the stones in place. The gauntlet is nicely done with metallic deco. The forearm is fairly easy to pop on and off and its a great idea to give fans the option to swap out the forearms.
He also includes his double-edged sword, that is painted in a metallic silver, and black, with some of the silver washed over it. The sword can be held in either of the hands
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel chest, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. Since he’s big and bulky, some of the points of articulation may be more difficult than others to move.
Overall, Thanos is an excellent figure with a great movie likeness and one of the best sculpts we’ve seen released for the character. For the $24.95 price point, you cannot go wrong with this as he packs a lot of value for the buck. Make sure to pick him up now exclusively at The Disney Store.
