The Disney Store and Diamond Select Toys are offering three new Marvel Select figures that are available now, including Thanos and the Incredible Hulk as they appeared in Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel as she appeared in the Captain Marvel Movie. These are just the latest Marvel Select exclusives, and we expect to see more in 2020 and hopefully some announcements next month at New York ToyFair.
This version of Captain Marvel is based on her appearance in her own film, which so far we have also seen the Starforce Uniform figure by Diamond Select Toys. This release comes with the previously shown blast effects that were originally slated to come with the Starforce figure.
The first figure is of Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, in her traditional red-and-blue colors as seen at the end of her self-titled feature film, as well as in Avengers: Endgame. This approximately 6.5-inch figure features 16 points of articulation and comes with masked and unmasked heads, five sets of interchangeable hands, two energy blasts with support stands, and Goose the Flerken.

Captain Marvel is packaged in the standard Marvel Select packaging, with the Captain Marvel Movie artwork on the side, and an image of her on the back along with a brief bio.
Captain Marvel is sculpted and painted in her blue, red and gold uniform as seen in the Captain Marvel Movie and in Avengers: Endgame, with metallic blue and gold deco that makes her outfit shine. The outfit includes nicely done sculpted details including the the lines and bevels in the sculpt especially in the blue areas that you can’t see as well as these are not highlight with deco. The paint applications are solid with pretty much no bleeding on this copy, and she also has the Captain Marvel symbol on her chest in gold deco.
Her head sculpts are interchangeable and are offered in an unmasked head with the likeness of Actress Brie Larson, and the masked head sculpt includes the same red and blue, with the blue deco in metallics. Her hair comes out from the top that looks like a mohawk, and both head sculpts have a wash over the hair and sculpted textures.
Goose the Cat is also included and has nicely done sculpted details and paint applications. The cat is painted in orange and white, with green eyes and a black and silver collar. This release comes with more accessories that were originally shown with the Starforce Outfit figure, and she comes with the two blast effects that she could hold onto, with stands to hold the blast effects. She also comes with a black base she can stand on, and she needs the peg support to hold her up while she holds Goose the Cat otherwise she will fall over without the support. There are also two acrylic stands with a base, that can be used for the blast effects, but more importantly, her back has a hole in it to insert the peg in so she can fly and be posed in the air. The base however doesn’t support her weight, and you will have to use a heavy object to support it depending on how you display her in flight mode. She also includes two blast effects that can connect to her fisted hands.
She also includes 5 sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, a black base, and an acrylic flight base. The hinges on the acrylic stand are hand to move in certain parts and also a big on the fragile side, so breakage may occur here if excessive force is used.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders (limited range of motion), swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest that also pivots, swivel waist, ball jointed hips with a great range of motion, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Captain Marvel is an excellent figure with a great movie likeness and one of the best sculpts we’ve seen released for the character. For the $24.95 price point, you cannot go wrong with this as he packs a lot of value for the buck. Make sure to pick her up now exclusively at The Disney Store.
