Diamond Select Toys is offering two new Marvel Select figures that are exclusively available at The Disney Store, including Captain America as seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and a comic version of the Winter Soldier, and is a repaint of the previously offered figure.

Captain America Sam Wilson and The Winter Soldier are packaged in the standard packaging for the Marvel Select line, which is a blister card with some great artwork on the front, images on the sides, and images of the figures on the back.
Captain America is based on his appearance in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which takes place following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Captain America is offered in a new red, white and blue outfit, with most of the outfit being blue, and red and white being secondary colors. He also has some metallic silver deco on his forearms, belt, chest, and boots. The sculpt includes some great sculpted details and textures, as you would expect especially if you’ve been collecting the Marvel Select line, or any Select line from DST. The star and stripes is painted in metallic silver on his chest, and he has smaller stars that are white and blue on his shoulder pads.
The figure includes removable wings, and the backpack splits apart and you plug the wings into the holes, and then place it on his back. The wings do tend to fall off though, and they are not securely placed on. The wings themselves are well made and are made of plastic, and painted in red, white and blue, with metallic silver.
The articulation is standard for the line, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, swivel-hinged elbow, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
He also includes three sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, and Red Wing, which is a drone and not a real bird like it is in the comics. The drone cannot be placed on his body, or held securely in his hand, as it tends to fall off easily.
The Winter Soldier is a repaint from a previously offer comic-based figure dating all the way back from 2013. To this day, that remains a great figure, and getting repaint now is truly a nice surprise. This figure is also comic-based, and includes a new metallic blue shirt, dark brown pouches and a vest, dark grey pants, black boots and gloves, and a metal arm that is painted black, with gold deco in-between the grooves. There is also a star on the shoulder that is painted in red, white and blue. The figure includes a loose fitting belt around his waist, a holder for his pistol, and a strap with a non-removable machine gun that is also loose around his torso.
The figure also includes the same accessories as preciously offered, including a sniper rifle, a pistol, machine gun, a diorama environment of a sniper’s perch, including a removable Hydra crate that you can move around and includes a Hydra logo on top of the crate. The head sculpt for this figure is excellent, with some nicely done details and sculpting giving him a great likeness. His face is mask, and the skin tones are a different shade than previously offered.
The diorama environment of a sniper’s perch is just as detailed and sculpted as you will remember when it was last released in 2013, and these diorama’s aren’t offered too often anymore in the Select line. The sculpting, deco and attention to detail came out great, and there are two pegs on the bottom to place his feet on.
The articulation is standard for the line, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbow, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Captain America and Winter Soldier are excellent figures with some incredible sculpting and detail, including the likenesses, deco, outfits, head sculpts and accessories. Both figures will make great additions to any Marvel toy collections, even if you don’t have previous offerings of these characters in the Select line.
