Mattel’s popular Turtles of Grayskull continues to exceed expectations this year with some all-new releases, and as I’m sure you aware this line crosses two of the biggest properties of the 1980’s, Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with elements of both brands given to most figures. Teela is given a new design that includes a turtles shell she can use as a shield. Also make sure to check out Skeletor’s review.
Thank you to site sponsor BigBadToyStore for sending along Mattel’s Turtles of Grayskull Teela figure for review.
Availability: June 2024
Teela is packaged on a blister card with the Turtles of Grayskull artwork, including He-Man and Skeletor on the top, and the logo’s on the bottom. On the back is more great artwork, logo’s, a description and a look at the rest of the wave.
Teela is given some new armor that pays tribute to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including the turtle shell on her back that is also used as a shield, as we’ve seen with other figures in this line. She is also given some new teal deco, that is metallic, metallic gold, white and light brown boots with white cuffs. The new teal deco stands out amongst this line, and is also on the shell and shield with gold trim around it. Her gauntlets are also clipped onto her forearms, and do tend to fall off. Thee include small blades on the sides, and a turtle shell design with straps that are supposed to keep the gauntlets on her wrists, but these straps don’t go all the way around..
Her head sculpt is helmeted, but you do see the head and facial details, including the ponytail in the back and more hair at the bottom. The helmet is also teal and gold.
Included with Teela is an instruction sheet showcasing which parts of removable so you can swap them out with other Turtles of Grakskull and Origins figures, and a new mini-comic (more of the mini-comic is shown in the video above).
Also included is a shield that was mentioned above, which also serves as a turtles shell you can place on her back, and a Sai that is the same as the one that came with Raphael. This replaces her staff that has come with basically every Teela figure in other lines.
Teela is also fully articulated, including a ball jointed head and neck, swivel shoulders, swivel-hinged biceps, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Teela is an excellent figure and a must-have for this collection, so make sure to grab him and additional figures now at site sponsor BigBadToyStore.
