For the first time since 1998, Hasbro brought back SIlverbolt in their Transformers: Legacy United Voyager line, inspired from the Beast Wars series that is highly regarded to this day. Silverbolt is a Fuzor, which is a combination of two beasts in his beast mode, and in his case is a wolf and an eagle. In the Beast Wars series, Silverbolt was the love interest of Blackarachnia, and brought her over to the Maximals side.

Silverbolt is packaged in the same window box that other Deluxe size Transformers come in, with no plastic protector or tray. The packaging includes some great artwork and logo’s, including additional characters on the left side, and images of him on the right side and back.
Silverbolt is inspired from the Beast Wars series of the 1990’s and is a Fuzor transformer, meaning he is a combination of two animals, and in his case is a wolf and a hawk. His body features sculpted fur, to represent both animals, and he is mostly grey, with some metallic bronze, black, and white on his tail. The wings feature two hinged joints on the back, and the feather part can swivel up and down so you have a number of different ways to pose them. The swords are stored on the tops of the wings, and only one sword can be stored on one side because of the pegs are different on each wing, so right left wing has two, and the right wing has one.
The swords fit into his hands as seen in the series and on the vintage toy, and he can hold them facing up or down.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, double-hinged and swivel wings, ball jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees. and swivel ankles.
Comparing him to some other figures that were released, including Airazor, Tigatron, Blackaracnhia, Tarantulus, Dinobot, Rattrap, Waspinator and Cheetor. He fits in perfectly with the collection and they have paid attention to the hight differences from the show.
The beast mode is quite impressive, and the jaw is hinged and he has that glaring look in his white eyes. The wings work the same way they do in robot mode, and the back legs have small wolf paws, which the front legs and feet are larger.
Overall, Silverbolt is an excellent figure and definitely a need to add to your Beast Wars collection. He was one of the final Maximals that Hasbro had not offered in this line so grabbing him is definitely recommended. I just hope they complete the character roaster in the Transformers Legacy line and there are both Maximals and Predacons that need updating as they haven’t been given new figures in almost three decades.
