IG-12 is an assassin droid and he was refurbished from the destroyed IG-11 by the Anzellans and restructured so Grogu can pilot the droid body and was gifted by the High Magistrate Greef Karga to Grogu, and he can also speak Yes and No through IG-12, During the battle between the Mandalorian’s and Moff Gideon’s forces, IG-12 was destroyed by the Praetorian Guards. After the battle, IG-12 parts were used to create a new IG-11.

IG-12 is packaged in a window box with artwork and logo’s that is seen throughout the line, with images on the side, back and a description also on the back.
IG-12 is a refurbished assassin droid from IG-11, with the interior parts removed from the torso so that Grogu can fit inside and steer it himself. The figure is all-new, with similarities in sculpting from IG-11. The best part about him is the opening chest and that Grogu can fit inside, as seen on The Mandalorian. The opening chest also has two ball jointed handles that Grogu can hold, which on the show allows him to control IG-12 and pilot it. That has been recreated here, and Hasbro’s team has done a great job capturing that with this figure. IG-12 is lean and tall, with wires on the legs, and back that are made of a soft plastic.
His head sculpt looks like a jaw, with six white dots and parts sticking up. The head also has two swivel parts that you can move, which is a nice feature.
IG-12’s articulation includes a swivel neck, 2x swivel face parts, ball hinged shoulders that can only be raised by lifting to the sides, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel wrists and hinged fingers, opening torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. The ankles made it tough to get him to stand up straight and he has a problem not falling over, so beware.
IG-12 is also in a dark grey, with tan and copper, with black at the elbow and knee joints.
Grogu and the Anzellans all look great and are also all-new figures. Grogu has a swivel neck and ball jointed arms, and the Anzellans also have a swivel waist, swivel neck and ball jointed arms.
Grogu and the Anzellans can also fit inside IG-12, but Grogu fits in best. He hands can be placed on the sticks, which is nicely done and definitely a detail fans will enjoy.
The Anzellans can also be placed in IG-12’s hands, or one of both can be placed on his shoulders, but they only rest and may fall over.
Overall, this is a great set and I personally love how well Grogu can fit inside IG-12. The attention to detail, sculpting, and character likenesses all came out great and this is a set that fans will definitely want to own.
