Moff Gideon is based on his appearance on The Mandalorian, where he had a base on Mandalore and made the next generation of the Dark Trooper. This armor is a prototype he wore on the series. This armor was influenced by Mandalorian Supercommandos.

Moff Gideon comes in a window box, with the standard The Black Series 6″ packaging design, an image of him on the side, an image and a description on the back.
Moff Gideon is inspired from the third season of The Mandalorian, and in episode 7 he wore this new Dark Trooper armor that was influenced by the Mandalorian Supercommandos. This armor is cast in black with a metallic paint that gives the finish a great shine. The armor also has some red trim around the belt, red dots on the upper right torso, red stripes on the shoulders, and a metallic silver belt buckle. The cape is made of fabric and is red on the inside, and black on the outside.
The head sculpt looks great and features the likeness of actor Giancarlo Esposito. The helmet can be placed over the head, and is also black with red deco. It also has spikes all around it as seen on the helmets of the Mandalorian Supercommandos.
Included is a blaster and a staff hilt, which he can hold in both hands. The blaster can also be placed in the holster on the right hip.
The staff includes an Electric FX effect piece that is detachable, and can be held in one or both hands.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles. It should be noted that some of the articulation on this release is less than other figures, as he is missing the swivel thighs.
Overall, Moff Gideon is an excellent figure with a great likeness and character representation. The armor is especially exceptional given its design and how well it looks. This is definitely a figure you do not want to miss, so make sure to grab him now at BigBadToyStore!
