Takara-Tomy and Hasbro are offering a new collaboration between Transformers and Godzilla, which is part of their Synergenex line. This mold reuse of Legacy Laser Prime Optimus Prime, which has already seen a number of notable repaints. This version pays tribute to Mechagodzilla, and includes a special Godzilla logo on his chest.

Optimus Prime comes in exclusive packaging by Takara-Tomy, an image of the figure in a city backdrop on the front, with logo’s and a description of the contents on all sides. Along with more images on the back.Optimus Prime comes in his vehicle mode inside the plastic tray, along with a sheet of instructions.
Optimus Prime uses the Legacy Laser Optimus Prime tooling, and transforms into a truck that also includes a trailer. The cab part is mostly painted in a dark blue, with metallic silver flames, yellow windshield and sides that pay homage to Mechagodzilla’s yellow eyes, black rotating tires with dark grey hubcaps, and most of the back is metallic silver, black and red details.
The axe can be stored on the back, and the sword is stored on the bottom in truck mode. There are spots to hold both in place as shown in the instructions.
The trailer is olive green and black, with the abbreviation of JXSDF with Japanese writing underneath that, along with Japan Counter-Xenomorph Self Defense Force, with Japanese writing underneath that on both sides. The tires are black and can rotate, with dark grey hubcaps, There’s also a blue and black circular blaster that is on top, that can also be removed to use in his robot mode.
His robot mode is amazingly detailed and the metallic silver paint apps really shine and you can see every bit of detail offered here. He is the same colors as his vehicle mode, with a special Godzilla logo and Transformers text on his right pec, and MFS-3 written on the other one. The eyes are yellow, which is also a homage to Megagodzilla’s yellow eyes.
His articulation includes swivel head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
The Matrix of Leadership is inside his chest, which is also yellow to pay tribute to Mechagodzilla’s eyes. This can be held in both his hands.
That circular blaster that’s on the top of the trailer can be placed inside any of the shoulder mounted blasters in robot mode, placed in his hands, or stored on his back. It can also be placed on his lower legs.
Included is a sword and shield, which are also yellow to pay tribute to Mechagodzilla’s yellow eyes, and can be placed together to form one weapon.
