The Cobra B.A.T. is inspired by his vintage 1986 G.I. Joe o-ring figure released by Hasbro and given some new elements to give him a modern update in the Classified line. The Cobra B.A.T.’s (Battle Android Troopers) are androids used as nothing more than cannon fodder and can keep fighting even when significant damage is done and stop at nothing until their mission is complete, or until they are destroyed. The Cobra B.A.T.’s are used only as a last resort when their side is losing, and not normally used alongside other Cobra Troopers as they are unable to tell the difference between friendly or hostile.

The Cobra B.A.T. is packaged on a retro-inspired blister card, with artwork and logo’s paying tribute to the original one’s of the 1980’s action figures. On the back is more great artwork, including a bio.
The Cobra B.A.T. is a repaint of his previous offering in the 6″ Classified Series, and inspired by his original action figure in 1986 in o-ring style. The Cobra B.A.T. is given updated deco, and comes in a black outfit, with yellow and silver, a brown holster for his pistol on his left hip, and a Cobra logo on his left shoulder with a yellow circle and the red snake logo. The new deco works good together and the silver on the arms, weapon attachments and details on the body stands out better compared to his first release.
Included are two interchangeable head sculpts and chest plates (standard and battle damaged). It should be noted that his face plate is red, while the normal color for this is typically grey.
The backpack is stored on his back, with the gripper arm, flame jet and laser stored, and can be arranged anyway you choose. A stand is also included that features the Cobra logo, and two pegs for his feet to stand on.
His weapons include the flame jet, laser and gripper arm that can be swapped out with either of his hands, and placed on his wrists. He also includes a flame effect for the flame jet, a laser effect for the laser attachment and pistol, and two in open grip hands.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, swivel-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, the Cobra B.A.T. is an excellent figure and a great offering to add to the Cobra ranks. The attention to detail, weapons and character design looks great and this is surely a character you’re going to want add to the collection and possibly even army build on.
