Lion-O, Panthro and Panthor Man are packaged on the standard Origins-style bluster card, with the appropriate logo’s on top, exploding rocks on the front, and the back includes more great artwork and a look at this wave. Each figure comes with a Collector Card, which replaces the mini-comic, and a sheet of instructions showing which parts are removable and interchangeable.

Lion-O comes in all-new armor designed for this specific release, which is a light metallic gold finish with the ThunderCats logo on the chest in red and a black Cat’s Lair head. The armor also includes a gold belt with a grey lion-cloth, gold bracelet, grey cuffs on the blue booths that are given black straps, and beige forearms painted on.
The left shoulder has the head of a lion sculpted, and this blocks a little of the articulation in the elbow. The glove is newly designed and not specially inspired from the 80s design, with sculpted grooves and patterns. The sword of Omens can be stored on the back, and comes in grey translucent plastic, with the ThunderCats logo.

The head sculpt includes some great facial details, with nicely done painted eyes, and the hair piece has the mask attached to it, which is also in a dark metallic blue.
The armor is removable, and the boots can be swapped for his 80’s-inspired one’s, and the feet can also be detached and swapped out for the boot parts. This outfit includes his iconic blue shirt, which is removable, blue shorts with a metallic blue and white belt that has the ThunderCats logo on the belt buckle. The boots are blue with a white trim.

The Sword of Omens has two different sides on the eye, one the Eye of Thundera, and the other side the ThunderCats logo. He also includes an alternate hair piece designed to pay tribute to his 80’s appearance, an alternate left hand, and a removable glove.

With the armor removed, he pays tribute to his 80’s appearance, and is repainted in a darker shade of blue, and a beige skin tone, a darker red hair, light blue boots, darker gold glove, and other variations in deco as shown from the wave 1 release.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Panthro comes in a dark metallic grey armor, dark blue vest, a bright blue belt with the red and black ThunderCats logo, blue shorts, dark and light grey skin tone, which looks close to the vintage toy, light and dark blue boots. The spikes on the vest and wrist are metallic silver, with a bit of a sharpness to it.

Panthro’s head sculpt looks great with the dark and light grey deco, painted eyes, and nicely done facial details, including the pointy cat ears.

Panthro includes a mask, an axe and flail that can connect to the armor on his wrist with the peg sticking out, a pair of nunchucks. The armor and weapons are also repainted, and the nunchucks can be used to connect to the axe and flail as shown.

Once the armor is removed, he pays tribute to his 80’s vintage toy with the color and design, including the ThunderCats logo on the belt.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Panthor is reimagined and is now a humanoid Cat-Man, while keeping his iconic design. He comes in shiny metallic green armor, a metallic grey harness with an insignia on his chest, a green belt, grey lion cloth, grey cuffs with grey boots. The helmet is removable, and has spikes on the shoulders, along with a repaint of Skeletor’s Terror Claws as his primary and only weapon.

The head sculpt looks great, and he’s given dark and light purple fur, with nicely done facial details and painted eyes.

As his terror claws are his only weapon, they do make him look more fierce given his status as a Cat Man, and as you can see, he’s repainted from Battle Cat Man.

Once the armor is removed, he pays tribute to his 80’s vintage character design with the color and design, but now reimagined as a Cat Man standing on two legs instead of four.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Lion-O and Panthro, and Panthor Man are excellent figures with a great likeness to their iconic designs, and the armor is a fun take on these characters that has not been seen before. Â This is definitely a great line and one that you’re definitely going to love. Make sure to order now on BigBadToyStore!
