Casey Jones comes in the standard Ultimates window box, with artwork and logo’s inspired by the series, including images of him on both sides, as well as a description on the back. Casey Jones comes in a plastic tray for safe keeping.
Casey Jones release in the 2003 line was inevitable even before he was announced, as this hot head vigilante is a fan-favorite and a staple to the franchise. Casey Jones has a distinctive likeness in this series, and he is an adult that is lean and muscular with long black hair, so they kept some of the characters traits to what had come before. He comes in his red T-shirt, long dark blue sweatpants with white and light grey stripes, black whites with white and orange, brown gives with orange, and a beige band on his left forearm. The elbows and knees have a bent in them as that is how it was designed,
He comes with two head sculpts, a masked one, and one showing his face. It’s unusual for Casey Jones not to wear a mask, so having this head is a nice addition as he was seen without it in the series. Both heads are nicely detailed, with long black hair with a wash.
Casey Jones includes three sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted, open hands, and open grip), a sports bag, a hockey stick, a gold club, and two baseball bats. The weapons can be held in his open grip hands, and each have some nice attention to detail sculpts and deco. The hockey stick is even given some battle damage at the end. The hockey stick is light grey with grey hockey tape, red tape, light brown handle, dark grey tape as the handle. The golf club is light and dark grey, with a black handle, and the bats are brown with black handles.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. The double-hinged elbows and knees are new articulation offered in these figures.
Overall, Casey Jones is an excellent figure with a great likeness to the source material. This is definitely a great figure that you should grab while you can. Make sure to pick him up and additional figures now at Entertainment Earth!
