Super7 is now offering the next wave of their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ULTIMATES! 2003 inspired wave, which includes Casey Jones, Splinter, Shredder and a Foot Soldier. The series has become a classic since its 2003 – 2009 run, which was a fresh take on the franchise and targeted towards the next generation of kids at the time, while keeping the adult fans entertained too. The Foot Clan are used first by the Utrom Shredder Ch’rell, and the new leader Karai in the series, as warriors and assassins.

The Foot Soldier comes in the standard Ultimates window box, with artwork and logo’s inspired by the series, including images of him on both sides, as well as a description on the back. He comes in a plastic tray for safe keeping.
The Foot Soldier stands at 7″ tall and comes in his show-accurate ninja outfit. The outfit is mostly black, with dark and light grey, and a red Foot Clan emblem on his chest, which is a trident-like footprint. The dark grey part of the outfit is made of a soft plastic, which is placed over the torso, and tied with a light grey belt. As it’s soft plastic, this allows the shoulders and hip joints to have more of a range of motion. The forearms, gloves, shins and boots have some additional passed armor in a lighter grey in the front, along with sculpted grooves and some attention to details that make it look visually better.
He comes with three head sculpts, a masked head with windswept tassels, a masked head with straight tassels, both given yellow eyes with a different expression. The third head sculpt is unmasked, revealing a human head with technology. The heads aren’t easy to pop on and off, as the ball joint is connected to both the neck and head, it’s easy for that ball joint to pop off the neck joint rather than the head, so be extra careful and make sure to use a hair dryer and head it up before removing the head.
The Foot Soldier includes 2 Katana’s, 2 throwing stars, a bo staff, three sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted, open grip, and open hands).
The Katana’s are given a light grey blade, with a black and grey handle. The throwing stars are light grey, and the bo staff is painted and sculpted to look like wood. All of these accessories work best with the open grip hands.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso and ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Shredder is a nice looking figure and has a great likeness to the source material. The head ball joint may be fragile, so be careful with that. Make sure to pick him up and additional figures now at BigBadToyStore!
