Crazylegs is packaged on a retro-inspired blister card, with artwork and logo’s paying tribute to the original one’s of the 1980’s action figures. On the back is more great artwork, including a bio.
Crazylegs pays tribute to his 1987 vintage o-ring figure that Hasbro offered during the golden age of the brand, and comes in his red and grey parachute suit, with black boots, light brown gloves, a black harness, a black belt with pouches, a black holster on his right hip, and a light brown harness over the black one, with the harness looped around his legs. The harness does not appear to be removable, and the red parts of the suit are given a sculpted pattern, while the grey parts have sculpted wrinkles.
His head sculpt is also retro inspired, but this time around the mouth is sculpted open, and he keeps his black hair, and given nicely done facial details.
The helmet is made of a soft plastic and fits over his head, which is red and black, and the goggles fit loosely around the helmet, as it’s very hard to push them down without having the glasses over the eyes. He includes a Submachine gun, with a removable ammo clip that he can hold in his hand.
Also included is a pistol, which is placed in the holster on his right thigh, and a knife, which is placed in the holster on the black harness. Also included is a light beige backpack, and a figure stand with the modern G.I. Joe logo.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles.
Crazylegs uses the same sculpt as the Crazylegs figure that was included with the Assault Copter Dragonfly (XH-1) vehicle, and repainted to pay tribute to the vintage 1987 figure. There is a lot of differences in deco, and the head sculpt is also new that it makes him look like a completely different character. The accessories are also all reuse of this previous figure.
Overall, Crazylegs is an excellent figure and a great offering to add to the Joe ranks. The attention to detail, weapons and character design looks great and this is surely a character you’re going to want add to the collection. Make sure to grab him now at BigBadToyStore!
