The Mandalorian and Grogu film is a continuation of the Disney+ series, as it was decided by Lucasfilm to go this route over a fourth season due to delays in production and the current Hollywood Labor Strikes in 2023. The new film will see the return of these characters, along with various characters from the series, and This set is inspired by the new film, which includes both characters of other Star Wars media. This set is based on the new film, and is notable as being a deluxe set with Grogu capable of being placed on the jetpack.

The Mandalorian and Grogu are packaged in a window box, with images and artwork on all sides, including a description and an image on the back.
The Mandalorian reuses his previous sculpt with some new deco, and comes in his Mandalorian armor which is metallic silver, dark grey, a dark brown suit, with light brown harness and belt that has the pistol holster on the right side, a light brown ammo belt on the right knee, and light grey padding underneath the torso armor, hips, and left knee. He has a soft goods dark grey cape, with the bottom of it worn and torn. The back has holes where the jetpack is plugged into, as previously seen.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
His head sculpt is helmeted, with silver deco and a black visor.
The pistol can be placed in the holster on his hip, and the small knife can be placed inside the boot, which is something not officially shown by Hasbro, but it does fit in nicely. Grogu can be placed on the jetpack, by holding onto the tiny handle of it on top, as there is no where to plug him in like The Vintage Collection offering, and he has trouble gripping onto the side of the jetpack to stay on himself. Grogu can’t stand on his own either, given at how he was sculpted. His arms and head is ball jointed, wrists can swivel, and the left foot is also ball jointed, which is an impressive amount of articulation for him.
The Mandalorian also includes a blaster rifle that he can hold in one or two hands, and the scope can be removed and placed in his hand or Grogu’s.
The blaster can be placed in either of his open grip trigger finger hands,
He also comes with an extra right hand that’s small enough to hold the knife, and a sword he can hold in his trigger finger hands.
Here’s a comparison with his Vintage Collection release, along with an earlier release using this mold. There are some paint differences such as the pads on his hips are now grey and not blue, the cape is no grey and not brown, and the harness is in a different shade of brown.
Overall, The Mandalorian and Grogu are a great addition to the line and since this is based on the new film and not the television series, there is enough newness here to warrant a new purchase. This is an excellent likeness and sculpt with a great likeness to their appearance in the upcoming film. Make sure to grab him now at BigBadToyStore!
