Playmates Toys are wrapping up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand this year and they are going out with a bang, especially after 40 years of product that generations have enjoyed. One of their final offerings is the collaboration between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G.I. Joe, two of the 1980’s biggest brands that took up a ton of shelf and peg space at stores like Toys “R” Us back in the day. Not only that, but both had memorable cartoons that kids grew up watching, and that’s what drove them to buy the toys.
In addition to the figures, Amazon has an Exclusive Turtle-Fly copter includes an exclusive Raphael figure, but there is also another non-exclusive version that you can order. As well as an AWE Shell-Striker Vehicle with April O’Neil, which is also available now.

Each figure is packaged in a window box, with images, artwork and logo’s on all sides, a look at the entire wave and a bio and description on the back that you can also cut out, just like the vintage G.I. Joe bio card from back in the day.
Leonardo and Snake Eyes are given a crossover, which is great as both characters use swords as their primary weapon of choice. The black ninja outfit pays tribute to Snake Eyes, with Leonardo’s blue harness and belt with the letter L on the belt buckle, blue elbow and knee pads, silver on the top of the grenades on the belt, buckles on the legs, and darts on the sides of the arms. His green skin is also seen on the forearms, along with weapons and pouches, such as a knife, cast in black plastic with straps on his arms, legs, and ankles. His shell is also black, with a holster for the swords on the back attached to the harness.
HIs head sculpt includes the blue banana covering his eyes, which is a tribute to Snake Eyes as there are no eye holes for him to see out of. The front of it lifts up and you can see his eyes, with the left one scarred with red around it, along with a grinning mouth with white teeth, and the turtle green flesh tone.
Leonardo includes two black swords, and a Ooze-y blaster, which is mostly in black with neon green.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged banana visor, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Rapahel and Roadblock are given a crossover, as both characters are fierce fighters and warriors, it makes sense to pay tribute to both. He comes in Roadblocks clothing, including a brown and green camouflage tank top, with Raphael’s turtle chest seen at the top, light brown pants, a brown belt with the letter R in silver on the belt buckle, Raphael’s red elbow, knee, and wrist pads, and black boots. The shoulder straps are attached to the belt, with silver grenades painted on, and he has weapons including a sai and pistol inside a pouch sculpted in black on the sides of his hips.
HIs head sculpt features Raphael’s likeness, with the red bandana, white eyes, and a grinning mouth with white teeth. A helmet with straps that also has a turtle shell sculpt can be placed on his head, and there a hole in the back so that the banana can stick out.
Raphael includes a Throwing star gatlin blaster, which he can hold in two hands, or use the Tri-sai pod as a base to hold it. The Throwing star gatlin blaster features a rotating blaster at the front, which can be active by turned the knob at the back. Tri-sai pod has a removable sai that he can hold, while the other part of the Tri-sai pod has two sai’s sculpted together to be used as legs, but he can also hold one of those handles as well.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Donatello and Dial-Tone are paired, and he comes in Dial-Tone’s outfit, with Donatello’s purple harness with dark grey grenades, the letter D in silver on the belt buckle, purple elbow and knee pads. His clothing such as the dark green shirt, black pants, and green boots all pay tribute to Dial-Tone. There is also a brown strap around his right knee, with a silver device, and the sleeves are beige with a silver device, and insignia on the upper arms/shoulders. Donatello’s light green skin tone is seen on the forearms and fingers, and he has black gloves, and silver bracelets.
HIs head sculpt pays tribute to both characters, with Dial-Tone’s mustache, Donatello’s turtle head with the light green skin tone, a purple bandana with white eyes, and Dial-Tone’s Beret with an insane on the front.
Donatello includes a Steel shell-pack, which pays tribute to Dial-Tone, and an Anti-sewer-scramblin’ staff.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Michelangelo and Shipwreck are an unusual pairing, but this design works well. He comes in Shipwreck’s outfit, with light and dark blue outfit, a black belt with the letter M in silver on the belt buckle, along with Mikey’s  turtle chest underneath the shirt, orange elbow and knee pads, black boots and gloves, and a black strap and pouch on his right hip.
HIs head sculpt features Michelangelo’s likeness, with the orange bandana with white eyes, an open mouth, and Shipwreck’s Sailors hat. His right forearm also has the sailors tattoo of Shipwreck’s, which is a nice touch.
Michelangelo includes Pigeon Pete, which can be placed on the white bracelet on his left forearm. Also included is a Anchor-ended nunchaku, which features a real chain link, and a Pizza prank pistol.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Shredder and Cobra Commander are paired, with Shredder’s armor, and Cobra Commander’s blue colors and Cobra logo on his chest. His outfit includes a red plastic cape, Cobra Commander’s blue outfit with a black belt and silver and black belt buckle with an insignia, blue loin cloth Shredder’s grey shin armor with spikes, black shoes, blue on the forearms and straps and spiked armor, armor with spikes on the wrists inspired from Shredder, and shoulder armor with spikes.
Shredder’s head sculpt is helmeted, with metallic silver and blue from Cobra Commander, with the shape of it coming from Shredder.
Shredder includes two ninja stars, Cobra Commander’s pistol/Retro-mutagen ray, Katana, Kyoketsu-shoge knife and Fist Dagger.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Krang and Destro are paired, using Krang’s Android body with Destro’s inspired colors and outfit. The design features the shape of Krang’s Android body, such as the shape and size, and Destro’s outfit, which includes a mostly black outfit, with silver, a red Cobra logo shaped collar, with red straps around his right hip, silver knee pads, red boots, red and silver gloves, silver and red forearm armor with grenades and missiles sculpted on, silver shoulder pads on a hinge joint, and the torso includes the compartment to place Krang inside, which is mostly silver with green details, and silver and red jewelry and details below the neck.
The head sculpt is shaped as Krang’s Android body, but in Destro’s silver colors, with red added for Krang. Krang’s brain itself also has a great likeness, with white sharp teeth, black eyes, tentacles, and a brainy likeness.
Krang is removable from the compartment, which is a nice touch, but is a non-articulation figure. The Android body has removable weapons, such as the mace and axe, but these cannot be stored on the body.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel weapons, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and swivel boots.
Slash and Storm Shadow are paired, with Slash’s appearance, with Storm Shadow’s white ninja outfit. The outfit includes the Cobra logo on the chest, black harness with Slash’s belt buckle with the S backwards, along with a silver buckle and dark grey skulls. He also has dark grey knee pads with spikes, dark grey elbow pads with spikes. purple shoulder pads and knuckle blades with purple handles and silver blades. His skin tone is a light blue with yellow finger and toe nails. The katana can also be stored in a holster on the back, as shown.
The head sculpt has Slash’s likeness with Storm Shadow’s white mask, along with Slash’s yellow eyes, nicely sculpted teeth and mouth. The weapons backpack is also shown, which can store almost all of his accessories.
Slash includes a holder for his bow, Razor-spiked gnarly knife, both Katana’s, and arrows that are non-removable. The Mutant mace can only be placed in his hand, as there is no storage compartment on the backpack.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged and rocker ankles.
Rocksteady and Dreadnok Buzzer are paired, as this makes sense as both characters are gang members. Rocksteady’s likeness and build is stretching out Buzzer’s clothing, given how Rocksteady’s size and brute strength makes the clothing look really tight on his body. He comes in Buzzer’s tan tank top, with Rocksteady’s green harness with ammo and grenades, blue jeans with a black belt and silver belt buckle, black pads on the pants, and brown boots, and black wrist bands. His skin tone is a dark grey, and he has a Cobra logo on his left shoulder that is left unpainted, which is a shame as that really would have stood out in red.
His head sculpt features Rocksteady’s likeness, including the horn, sharp teeth, painted eyes and nicely done facial details, a black helmet with silver glasses for riding a motorcycle, and Buzzer’s blonde ponytail out the back.
Rocksteady includes a Chain claw rifle and Serrated axe.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel-hinged hips, hinged knees, and swivel boots.
Bebop and Ripper are paired, and this is also a great mix and match as they are also both gang members. Bebop’s appearance and size also overwhelms Ripper’s clothing as it looks like the green vest is about to burst at any moment. He comes in Ripper’s green shirt, a Red Cobra logo on his chubby stomach, god tags and bone necklace, a black harness with silver grenades sculpted and painted on, and a holster for the machete on the back. He also has turtle shell elbow pads with metallic grey spikes, a right wrist band with metallic silver spikes, chain around his right wrist, blue jeans with a black belt and silver belt buckle, black strap and a holster for the non-removable pistol in grey, black one pads, and black boots.
Bebop’s head sculpt includes a purple mohawk with a ponytail and beard, white warthog teeth, a nose ring, and red 80’s glasses.
Included is a machete, and Claws of life, which can open and close by pulling on the back piece.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel-hinged hips, hinged knees, and swivel boots.
Overall, Playmates Toys Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G.I. Joe crossover figures are excellent, and have received a lot of attention from fans and collectors due to their unique designs, attention to detail, and how they are fun to pose and display. Playmates Toys are finishing off the turtles brand right with this offering and these are surely going to be some of the most memorable Turtles figures this year.
