Storm Collectibles are now offering their Street Fighter Alpha 3 Storm Arena Sagat Figure, which is based on the video game. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a 1998 video game by Capcom for Arcades, which had many fan-favorites, with updated designs. Sagat includes interchangeable heads, hands, a Tiger Raid effect and a Stand.

Sagat is packaged in a window box, with artwork and logo’s on all sides, and the back features images of the figure in poses. Sagat is packaged a plastic tray along with his accessories.

Sagat stands at 7 1/2″ tall and is inspired by his appearance in the Street Fighter Alpha 3 arcade game, and comes in sculpted dark blue trunks with yellow stripes, along with light grey bandages on his wrists, forearms, lower legs and part of his feet. His body is sculpted in a bulky muscular physique, with a scar on his chest that is sculpted and painted in a light brown. The bandages are given sculpted textures, and sculpted layers.

Sagat includes two head sculpts, with his left eye featuring a black eye patch, and the other eye in white with black eye lining. The facial details on both unique, with one neutral, and the other one grinning.

Sagat includes two sets of interchangeable hands, including closed fisted, and neutral with the fingers sculpted apart.

Sagat’s articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, butterfly shoulders, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged wrists, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles, and hinged toes.

Sagat also includes an acrylic stand with a base to support him, and a flame effect for his foot. The flame effect is a bit difficult to put over his foot, as it splits apart too easily and doesn’t perfectly snap into place with the foot inside. It probably can be done, but it gave me a problem.

Here is a comparison with his earlier release by Storm Collectibles. As you can see, there are vast differences between this new line of Street Fighter figures, such as the height and scale, along with fewer accessories along with less than half the price.

Overall,

Sagat is an excellent figure with a stellar likeness to the source material. This line is definitely a must for collectors, and this scale fits in better with other  6-7″ action figures.
