Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified Series 6″ Dusty and Coyote Sandstorm is inspired by their 1991 o-ring figure that was part of the classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line that many of us watched and collected as a kid. This new Classified 6″ pays homage to that figure, and given a modern update with new accessories, deco, and a fully articulated Sandstorm this time around.

Dusty and Sandstorm are packaged in a window box with the standard artwork and logo’s given to every figure in the line, including images on the left side, and the back includes an action shot and close ups.
Dusty is inspired by his 1991 o-ring action figure, and comes in his beige and brown camouflage outfit, which he wears to survive in the harsh desert environment. Around his torso is a brown vest, which appears to be removable but not attempted for this review, and includes sculpted pouches, accessories such as a rope, grenades painted in black, a neon green accessory, a black radio, a black sculpted pouch, a G.I. Joe insignia on his chest along with a bear, and the back of the vest is given two brown pouches, and a green object with a tube. The belt is also loose fitting around the waist, and is in brown with pouches, and a dark brown belt. A second belt sculpted to his pants is also brown, with a black buckle. Both of his legs include holsters for the pistol and silencer, as well as the knife. The knee pads are also brown as are the boots, which includes sculpted laces. The gloves allow his fingers to poke through, and are in a light brown, and he’s given a brown watch on the left wrist, and a forearm guard with straps on the left wrist.
Dusty’s head sculpt looks great with brown sculpted hair, along with painted eyes, eye lashes, a wash on his face that gives it definition, along with nicely done facial details and painted lips.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Sandstorm is also given an update, and he’s now fully articulated. He comes in grey sculpted fur, with a brown wash in various spots such as the legs and face, with a light beige wash on his face and ears. His eyes are black with red pupils, along with a black nose, sculpted and painted mouth. He includes two head sculpts, each with a unique expression, and the ears are also pointing in a different direction.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball jointed lower neck, ball hinged hips x4, swivel-hinged knees x4, 4x hinged lower legs, 4x swivel-hinged ankles, and a swivel-hinged tail.
Dusty includes a beige hat, a scarf, a brown backpack (it can’t be placed on his back if the scarf is placed on as it covers the hole on his back), a Machine gun, a pistol, a knife, a face mask that slips over his head, and a silencer for the pistol.
Overall, Dusty and Sandstorm is an excellent figure set and a great addition to the line. Dusty is an essential character for your G.I. Joe Classified collection, so make sure to grab him and additional figures now at Entertainment Earth!
