Prima Prime is packaged in a window box with artwork that’s seen in the Age pf the Primes line, with images of him on the front, left side, images of Primes on the right, and images in both modes on the back. Included is a sheet of instructions that is shown in the video above.

Prime Prime is inspired from his appearance in Covenant of Primus design, and this alien robot transforms into a Cybertronian armored Lunar truck. He’s more alien looking because of his alternate mode, whereas Optimus Prime and other Transformers in Generation One are Earth-related vehicles, they don’t look as alien as this character in robot mode. He is given some nicely done details, groves and patterns throughout the sculpt that you would expect to see in the Studio Series line. He comes in light and grey plastic, metallic blue (Energon), and metallic silver as his primary colors.

The head sculpt is nicely done, and he has a metallic blue helmet, and blue eyes.

The Matrix of Leadership can be stored inside his chest, as he’s one of the 13th Primes, this shouldn’t surprise you.

The hilt, Matrix of Leadership and Star Saber combines into this sword, and a better look at how to combine it is in the video above. This can also be stored on the sides of his back.

Here are some various poses of the figure, and he can hold the Star Saber in one or both hands.
A breakdown of the articulation is in the video above.

His vehicle mode is a Cybertronian Lunar Armored Truck and this definitely looks alien as opposed to an Earth vehicle. The transformation can be a bit challenging as it’s not perfectly straight, and I could not get the rear wheels flat on the ground. The blade is stored on his back, and the hilt and Matrix of Leadership can be stored on the bottom as shown. The Star Saber can also be placed in front to be a battling ram. He also has a Hover Mode, with the wheels being positioned downward, and he can hover off the ground.
Overall, this is an excellent design for and figure Prima Prime, and they did a really good job on this one. This is one you won’t want to miss as it’s a character that you almost never seen the brand. Make sure to grab him and other figures now at Entertainment Earth!
